Every hood girl had the dream of being the queen to a King pin. Not me. I don't even see how some woman can be attracted to such danger in their lives. My name is Goddess Kaloni Kompton, born to the infamous parents of King and Empress Kompton. Most say I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth, and it's true I was. My father, King Kompton, is the King Pin of Atlanta, Georgia. He runs the streets of Atlanta, and all of Georgia. Most people know him as Danger because he's a cold-hearted killer in the streets when it comes to his busy. My mother, Empress Kompton, was that hood girl that fell for my father at such a young age, and after overcoming all of the cheating, shootings, and fighting they settled down and had me at the tinder age of 16, and now they are 34 acting immature as hell.
"Baby girl," I heard my father calling from the hallway probably trying to figure out why I'm still in bed on such beautiful Saturday. I can hear the loud voices of my uncles as they entered our house to prepare for my 18th birthday dinner and party. I grabbed the remote that controlled my curtains and closed them quickly as I still pretended to be asleep.
"I know damn well she ain' sleep. It's damn near 11 am. Wake yo ass up Loni." Ronnie, one of my many uncles said kicking my bed. I frowned as I felt my bed shift and smelt my father's cologne surround me.
"Ron, you got one more time to kick my baby's bed." Mom said as she too entered my room. "Goddess get up mama. We got things to do today baby." Mom stressed as I felt her moving my hair out of my face. I opened my honey hazel eyes and stared into her stormy gray eyes and smiled at her. I've been woke since 10 this morning and I've already washed my face and brushed my teeth. I flashed my pearly whites at the love of my life and puckered my lips for her to kiss them.
"Baby girl," Dad said once more and I slowly sat up in my bed staring at everybody who decided to interrupt my peaceful thoughts. I cocked my head at my bed and rolled my eyes. "Keep rolling them damn eyes, lil girl. I'll knock em right." He said pushing my head and I smiled at him and threw my covers off of me.
"Happy birthday my little princess," Mom said kissing my cheek and hugging my neck. "My baby is legal y'all." She cried out and her grip got stronger as I felt wet droplets on my neck.
"Mommy, stop crying," I said trying to break her hold and looked towards my dad for some help. He pulled her off of me and held onto her as she shed more tears. I frowned at her as she cried, and my dad gave me a stern look and I shrugged my shoulders.
"Kaloni," Dad said sternly, and I smiled at him and began laughing. Mom cries every year when it's my birthday, but she's really crying because I'm finally 18 and I graduated high school last month, and I go to college in a couple of weeks. I'll probably be back home in no time though.
"Daddy, mom is being dramatic again. She knows I'll forever be her little Goddess." I said as I hugged my mom and wiped her tears. I hated seeing my mom cry over me. "Mommy I promise I'll face-time you every day and I'll text you every second when I go off to college. I'm pretty sure dad put a tracking device on my phone by now." I said as she stopped crying and just looked at me. She's slowly getting used to this grown phase now.
"Happy birthday bihhhh," Princess, my best friend, and god-sister, yelled bursting into my room with a bunch of balloons. She jumped on me and we fell right to the floor as she kissed all over my face.
"First of all Princess, watch ya mouth, and get the hell off of my daughter." Dad hastily yelled over Princess' screaming pulling her off me and helping me up. "Sometimes I wonder why I agreed to be your godfather." He said rubbing a hand down his face. Princess is basically a second daughter to my mom and dad because her dad is my dad's right hand. I'm pretty sure the rest of the people are downstairs. Princess mugged him as she turned towards him.
