Delirious' POV
"Y/N?!" I yell, not expecting to see her here at all.
"Jonathan!" She beams at me with a wide smile before throwing herself at me, forgetting that Evan is carrying her and almost fall off.
"Wow watch out there." Evan says, adjusting her on his back to make sure she stays safely.
"Sorry." She says embarrassedly, sticking her tongue out.
"Nah no problem, you wanna get down?" Evan asks gently, turning his head to face her.
"Yes please."
"Mhm" he answers
"C'mon Del help her out."
"Oh oh okay." I snaps, realizing I was staring at them while still half-laying on the ground. I quickly stand up, walk behind them and place my hands under her armpits carefully to lift her up and get her back on her feet.
"Thanks" she smiles before holding the crutch Evan hands her.
"You're welcome."
"No worries." Evan and I say in sync. I cough awkwardly.
"What happened to your leg? Are you alright?" I look down at her bandaged ankle that I noticed the second I saw her with concern.
"Oh um, it's nothing." She waves it off "I was being clumsy, you know me. Just a blink and it would be brand new again, don't worry." I noticed Evan gives her a look that I can't quite identify. Anyway, I still give in.
"Okay, but be careful next time will you? Don't run around so carelessly. I hate seeing you hurt." Her eyes soften as she gives me a warm smile that turns into giggles soon afterward.
"What?" I frown. "You mean, don't be like you?"
And Evan starts laughing as well "Yeah you just set her the perfect example of the consequence of 'running around so carelessly' huh?" He teases. That's when everyone bursts into laughter and my face grow red. I flip my eyes
"You guys are assholes." Meh, that just makes them laugh more loudly, I mean if that's even possible.
"Look at yourself before you instruct other, Delirious. Hahahaha." Wildcat says between laughter.
"Oh come on I did it on purpose! I meant to show her... That to let her know!"
"Yeah yeah obviously."
"Shut up Nogla."
"By the way, I still don't know you gu-" She was trying to say something but was interrupted by the broadcast that asks the contestants to go find the coach to sigh in.
"Oh shit, I gotta go." Evan snaps.
"Del, introduced y/n to the guys okay?" I nod, gladly taking the offer.
"Good, and y/n?"
"Yes?"
"Listen to Del while I'm not around, you know, don't run around?" He chuckles and winks at her.
"Evan I'm not a child!" She whines, look exactly like...a child.
"Okay okay, whatever you say alright?" She pouts and he pokes her cheek.
"I really gotta go before the coach comes and drags my ass there himself." He looked down at her, smiling. "Wish me good luck?"
"Mhm..." She uses the crutch to walk towards Evan and put a hand on his cheek when they are inches away. Standing on her tiptoe with him slightly putting an arm around her waist to keep her balance.
"Y/n?" Evan breathes before she places a feathery kiss on the other side of his cheeks.
"Good luck, Evan." He faces her with a smirk on his face "There's no way" his smile goes wilder "that I'm losing this one." With that, he walks downstairs to the court and leaves me to wonder 'What. The. Hell?! What the hell was that? Was he CHALLENGING ME? He's known I liked her since the beginning. Wait, are they dating? There's NO WAY. He can't just show up and snatch my girl away from me! I didn't even know they knew each other. How did they meet? Do I have to know- '
"Jonathan, Jonathan? Jon!!!!!!" She yells and pulls me out of my train of thoughts that I didn't even know I was in.
"Huh?! What? What's wrong?"
"No." She blinks "Nah I just see you zoning out and, shouldn't you be introducing me to...?" She uses her arm to indicate the guys.
"Oh right!" I scratch the back of my neck. "Sorry I was spacing out. Come on let's get you to know these bastards."
