Renjun's POV
"Oi Renjun, get your ass up." A familiar, husky voice trembles its way into my dreams, ravaging them in the process and causing me to quickly open my eyes in distress.
"What do you want?" I grunt, kicking him off me.
"Um, we're like, late for school, so if you-"
"WHAT THE FU-"
"No swearing, pretty boy." A new voice enters.
"Kun-ge!" "Fat Kun!" Yukhei and I both sputter at the same time, and I turn to frown at him, completely confused at the fact that... Kun is not fat at all?
"I'm used to it," Kun rolls his eyes and shrugs it off before Yukhei continues to tug at my shirt, telling me to get ready. "I'll be taking you guys to school today, Sicheng doesn't feel too well." Kun's expression drops before he picks it back up and makes his way to Sicheng's room, probably to watch over him while we both get ready.

Minutes later, we're rushing off to our classes, already missing the morning bell. Seeing as I have Art first thing today, I'm actually looking forward to seeing my weird, small seatmate- hopefully looking more awake and fresh rather than that snoring hodgepodge I had been greeted with yesterday.
My trainers squeak against the polished wax floor, the hallways empty and most classes have already begun. Gladly, my Art classmates are only just beginning to settle down, allowing me to discreetly enter and sit down in my seat at the back. Mission accomplished, I think, as I successfully sit down without the teacher noticing that I walked in late.
"Hey, Ren-" a groggy voice greets me and I turn to look at a once again sleepy Fei-hung. So much for wanting to see a better side of her today. She even fell asleep in the middle of my name.
I shake my head and turn back to the front as the teacher takes attendance, and we all respond according to our names. Even when the teacher calls out Fei-hung, I answer for her in falsetto, hoping it fools the teacher. Instead, I earn sniggers from my fellow classmates, but at least the teacher fell for it.
"Today, class, we will be focusing on expressing certain emotions through our paintings. No, you cannot choose the emotion, I will." a collection of groans and sighs erupts throughout the classroom and I roll my eyes. How bad can it be?
I stare at the board at the front of the classroom while Mrs. Applebutt assigns certain emotions to each student.
Pain, anger, sadness, joy, jealousy-
'Boredom,' the teacher stands next to Fei-hung, tapping her multiple times on the shoulder until she wakes up and repeats what she has to do when Fei-hung stares at her in confusion. The teacher's voice is laced with irritation as she looks over to me and carelessly points at my nose with her pen-
'Love.'

"You've got to be kidding me!" I whine as I bang my head on the table repeatedly, occasionally earning glances from my fellow students.
"What's wrong Long Chin?"
I take a deep breath, "I'm Chinese with a Chinese name and Chinese friends in a Chinese school in a Chinese town in the country of China why can't they pronounce my Chinese name properly these uncultured Chinese fishbones I'm-"
"What did you say, Runjin?"
"I-I said I can't do this..." My eyes dart from side to side in panic.
"Do what?"
I slowly turn to her with sad eyes, "I don't know what love is."
"But you're a cupid, dumbass."
