11| Mean Brats

Third Person

Jungwoo and Sicheng entered the cafeteria as quietly as possible in order to not get scolded. Jungwoo's eyes met with Lucas' sad looking ones for a brief moment until Jungwoo broke eye contact and exchanged seats with Sicheng after the latter's request.

As soon as they sat down the cafeteria door was kicked open.

"Shit they're actually here" Ten murmured.

"THE HOLY TRINITY IS BACK HOES" Jaemin screamed while Renjun and Jeno were throwing confetti in the air.

"More like the plastics are back" Donghyuck spat out making Chenle burst into loud laughs.

"OH MY GOD I CAN ACTUALLY SEE THIS HAPPENING" Chenle wheezed out while hitting the table.

"I KNOW RIGHT JAEMIN IS DEFINITELY REGINA GEORGE, JENO IS AS MUCH OF A DUMB FUCK AS KAREN SMITH AND POOR RENJUN IS LEFT WITH GRETCHEN WIENERS WHO HE CAN RELATE TO SO MUCH TO BE HONEST-" Donghyuck's au ideas were cut off by Jaemin's fake cough.

"Are you done yet?" Jaemin rolled his eyes.

"Why are you asking you traitor? Are you offended because you're Regina or something?" The brunette said boringly.

"Of course not! Why would I feel offended?! Regina George is an idol!" Jaemin scoffed, looking obviously offended.

"Whatever makes you sleep at night you butthead"

"Did you seriously call me butthead? C'mon dude, swear like a man."

"YOU WANNA FIGHT BRO-" Donghyuck's violent intentions were once again cut off, this time by Taeyong.

"NO FIGHTING ON THE SCHOOL GROUNDS YOU RASCALS"

"But, school hasn't even started yet." Jaemin whined.

"......Do I look like I care?" Taeyong said, ready to throw a tantrum.

Taeil forcedly pushed Jaehyun towards Taeyong whispering "You better calm him down"

The poor guy had no choice so he gently patted Taeyong's back and stared gently at the two fuming boys.

"Can you two please break it? You're getting nowhere with this nonsense." Jaehyun spoke softly, making the two boys silently sit down and Taeyong stare at him with heart eyes.

Meanwhile, Jungwoo was sneakily watching Lucas' sad expression from the other side of the table, thinking whether Sicheng's plan would actually work or not. They decided on leaving the letter on his doorstep on the first day of school, which was in two days and Jungwoo couldn't think of anything else.

He can just hope that Lucas is going to understand.

[The Next Day]

The first day of school was slowly approaching. All of the students were currently gathered on the school ward, listening to their headmaster's announcements for this year's projects.

"So, this year our university is also going to participate to a three-month student exchange program with different schools around the globe. All of the students who are going to participate have been chosen and their parents have already been contacted and have given permission. The selected students are leaving tonight in order to be at their schools on the first day. You can see if your name is on the list by going to the announcement board." Said the too-beautiful-for-a-headmaster male.

As soon as the headmaster finished his announcement, a big group of students -including Donghyuck, Chenle, Jisung, Renjun, Johnny and Mark- gathered in front of the announcement board in order to see if they were in the student exchange program.

Donghyuck's eyes passed all of the names that didn't matter to him and stopped on a very familiar one.

Mark Lee.

His eyes widened but they quickly came back to their original size due to Donghyuck's stubborn thoughts on not letting anyone see him surprised over a supposedly meaningless fact.

Mark noticed his strange actions though.

"Did you see the list Hyuck? I can't reach the announcement board properly" Mark said loudly through the crowd for Donghyuck to hear.

The latter turned towards Mark's voice and forced a smile.

"You're the only one on the list" Donghyuck muttered, making his way out of the crowd, followed only by Mark since the others were long gone after not seeing their names on the list.

After half an hour of Mark informing every single friend of his on campus, he went to his room and started packing.

Donghyuck was with him through the entire process, making Mark worry about him.

"Are you sure you're going to be alright?" He asked, pure concern shown in his face.

Donghyuck was hesitant before answering. "Of course. Why wouldn't I be? It's not like I'll miss you or anything..."
