I am a broken poem
No one ever listens to me
Hiding behind this paper
A story that will tell----
That on a broken countryside
A boy and a girl fell in love
Days filled with glory and anticipation
Someday they will have their part.
Modern day Romeo and Juliet
Fighting for what could have been
A poison that struck death
When the boy broke her heart with an icy breath.
She was running----
He came after.
A wild goose chase----
Never to surrender.
He was coming almost
Almost too near
He could never have her
For he always lived in fear.
She can never trust him
Neither did he
A new verse will be sung
Until the end of a lifetime.
