Chapter 3

JORDYNS P.O.V

We had nearly been ice skating for an hour & Matt & I were getting tired. So we decided to take a walk outside. I know I should've told kiks & them that we going outside, but they were all so consumed with each other so i didn't think they'd even realize that I wasn't there. Plus we were only going to be there for like 5 minutes.

We walked on the wet cold grass that shimmered due to the light of the full moon. It was such a starry night, it was beautiful. Matt sat me down on a bench that faced a big oak tree, he sat down next to me & his beautiful brown eyes met mine. I got butterflies.

"What?" I blushed,

"You are stunning. " he scanned my lips, took my hand & looked into my eyes.

"Matt!" I giggled. I'm having a mini heart attack. He just knows how to make me smile.

"Jordyn Rivers. I know I have only known you for about a day, but the second I saw you I fell in love with those green eyes, that beautiful smile, that one dimple on your right check & that bubbly, funny, crazy & beautiful personality. It's been a day but I feel like I've known you my whole life. Jordyn, I like you." Matt looked deep in my eyes & smiled. With passion.

"Awwwww Mattyyy. You give me butterflies. You never fail to make me laugh & it does feel like we've known each other forever. You make me happy.. I guess what I'm trying to say is.. I like you too. " I didn't even think about what I was saying.. It all just came out & I meant everything. I know it's cliche' but it's true.

"Awwww jordyyy, I didn't think you were one to express your feelings" he nudged me & laughed. & he's right. I don't usually. I'm not good at it.

"Shut up." I laughed.

He grabbed my hand & looked at the stars. We stared into the sky for 5 seconds & in the corner of my eye I saw his head turn towards me. I knew right then that we were about to kiss under the starlight.

I turned my head but as I turned my head I caught a glimpse of the big oak tree. As I scanned my way past it I noticed something body like on the one branch. I didn't know if I was seeing things or there was actually something there.

"Matt..." I spoke with curiosity but I was really scared.

"If you're not ready we don't have to." He smiled. He's so gentle. Ugh. He's like perfect.

"No baby, its not that. Please look in the tree & tell me what you see!" I tried to sound calm but I was freaking out inside! This is scary.

"Holy Shit! What the hell is that?" He sounded frightened too.

We got up & made our way cautiously to the tree, we looked up & noticed there was a girl laying on the branch & blood was dripping down her head. She was half naked & unconscious. I think I actually shat my pants. I tried pinching myself to see if I were dreaming but I knew this was real.

"Oh my fuck." I could barely talk. I had no words. I just stood in shock. Tears rolling down my eyes. This was sick. The poor girl.. I wonder what happened.

"Breathe baby breathe." He tried to calm me down but honestly what I'm looking at right now is scary, shameful, disgusting & just wrong. She looks about my age.. I'm in absolute shock. Just pure shock. I didn't know if she was dead or not.. I could barely breathe.

" we need to get her down." He's speaking so fluently & calmly just to keep me calm.

He moved the bench closer to the tree & stood on it & he was just tall enough to reach her. He pulled down her upper body & her lower body fell with it but he managed to carry her. He set her down on the bench. Blood was just everywhere. Something else was bleeding but I couldn't find what.
