Clem's POV
I wake up, and my head struck with pain, I saw that my saviours had strapped me to a bed with a strip of duct tape, probably in case I didn't make it and turned, I detached myself from the bed and sat up and look around, only to see that a girl, around my age, is sitting a chair sleeping
"Was she watching me as I recovered" I whisper to myself
I decide to wake her up, instead of walking out, I give her a light poke, doesn't seem to wake her, I lightly shake her
"Huh, what, oh...you're awake she says her face turning a light shade of pink
"I guess I might as well show you around" she says
She gets up and walks over to the door and holds it open
"Thanks" I say as I walk through the door
We both walk into the hallway
"It's Violet" she says
"Oh, nice to meet you Violet, I'm Clementine" I say smiling
"Oh, that's a nice name" Violet replies sweetly
We continue to walk down the hallway, when she offers her hand out
I accept, slightly blushing, I then I accidentally intertwine my fingers with hers
Violet smiles at me and says
"It's okay, I like it"
We start walking down the stairs hand in hand, we reach the doors leading outside
"Okay, it's time to meet everyone, then after that we eat" Violet says walking with me over to two guys talking"
"Oh come on Marlon, you could at least crack a smile!"one of them says
"Hey, guys, this is Clementine, I'm showing her around" Violet says trying to be calm
"Hey" I say nervously
"Hi Clementine, I'm Louis, that's Marlon"says Louis
"Hi" Marlon says in a monotone voice
"Over there is Ruby, Mitch, Tenn and Aasim" he says
"Yeah, if you and Violet go over to Omar, you can organise the meals" says Louis happily
"Ok, thanks" I say
Me and Violet walk over to Omar and organise the meals
After that we both go and sit down, Violet sits opposite me, soon enough Louis, AJ and Marlon sit down, after food AJ goes over to talk to Tennessee
"Okay, why don't we play a game" Louis says shuffling cards
"What game is it" Violet asks
"War, whoever gets the highest scoring card asks a question and whoever gets the lowest card has to answer" Louis replies
"Sounds like fun" I say excited
We each take a card and flip it over, I scored lowest and Violet scored highest
"Victory Violet" she happily
"Clem,... have you ever had to kill anyone you love" Violet asks
"There was a man, Lee, he was bitten and I had to shoot him stop him turning" I say holding back the tears
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you" Violet says with a worried face
"It's okay" I reply
"Okay.... round two" Louis says
Again, we pass round the cards, choosing at random
I scored highest, and Marlon scores lowest
"Marlon, what's with the haircut?" I ask
"What about it?" He replies
"Yeah, Marlon, it looks like a dead cat" Violet says
"It looks cool" he says
"Whatever you say" Violet replies, rolling her eyes
"Ok, round 3" Louis continues
We pass the cards round, I scored lowest and Louis score highest
"Booyah" he says excitedly
"Clem...ha-.... You know what what doesn't someone else ask?" Louis says nervously
"Just ask it, Louis!" Violet says slightly annoyed
"Fine, have you ever had a boyfriend?" He asks
"Oh my god" Violet says hitting the table
"What it's a totally valid question" Louis responds
"No,.." I say
"Never had a boyfriend?" Violet asks
"I-im.. more into girls" I say nervously
"Oh" Violet says
"I'm tired I'm going to go to my dorm" I say breaking up the awkwardness
I start heading inside and AJ soon follows
Two Days later
I get up and see that AJ is already outside talking to Tenn, i get changed and then I hear knock at the dorm door,
I walk over and open it to see Violet
"Hi Clem, I need to talk to you" Violet says
"Ok" I say as we sit down on opposite beds
"You know a yesterday when we went fishing with Brody, and to went to get the spears from the shack, you may have seen something I there, if you did, it's not what it looks like" she says nervously
"I know what it means, you and Minerva were girlfriends" I say
"I-i don't know what to say" Violet says embarrassed
I walk over and sit down next to her and squeeze her hand, she blushes a bright shade of pink
"It's okay I get, like I said I like girls too" I say comforting her
I open my arms and she hugs me
"I feel so safe around you, I feel like a never want to leave" Violet says
"Neither do I" I say smiling
We release from eachothers grasp and sit there holding hands for a moment, then Violet notices that I haven't put on my hat
"Oh,.. can I try on your hat, I know it's weird but.." she asks awkwardly, blushing slightly
"Sure, why not" I say happily
She walks over to the bedside table and grabs my hat and puts it on
"Your hat is so comfortable" Violet says grinning happily
"Yeah, you look so cute in it" I say
When Violet heard that she blushed madly
"You ain't too bad yourself," she says
I walk over to Violet and kiss her, Violet's eyes widen at that, but she doesn't pull away, she pulls me closer to her, we eventually part for air
"I love you Violet " I say blushing
"I love you more" Violet says
