The Scar

Violet's POV

I'm talking to Louis when, Clem and some boy wearing walker skin, walk in to the school

"Guess, it's time to plan!" Clementine shouts signalling us over to a bench

"Mom?, What's going on?" AJ asks me rubbing his eyes, clearly just woken up

Wait?! Did he just call me mom? I look over at Louis, who is trying to hold in his laughter, I glare at him but I'm interrupted by Clem walking over, grabbing my hand and taking over to the bench

"Alright, so I've figured out a plan, with a newfound friend, James, he will distract the raiders with walkers..."

"Walkers?!?!, Are you insane!!" Mitch exclaims

"I know what I'm doing" he says in a calming tone

"As I was saying, James will distract them, and me, Violet,  Louis and Mitch will flank from the back, the rest of you will stay with the ki-" Clem says interrupted by who I assume as AJ, but he wasn't talking, it was Tenn

"I'm coming!" Tenn says defiantly

"Tenn?" I say

"If Sophie and Minnie are there, I'm coming" he says confidently

"Okay, you go with me,Violet, Louis and Mitch, but you do exactly what I say" Clem demands

"Clem, I don't think that's such a good idea, he could get hurt" I say worried for Tenn's safety

"Vi, he'll be fine, but if anything happens, you can blame me, got it?" She says showing me her sweet smile

"Okay.." I say

"Alright team, fall out!" Clem says heading out the front gate

We head down the path, starting the long treck the raider camp, everyone miles ahead of me..., I'm getting tired..., Just gonna take a short nap..., My body hits the ground, flashes, Clem when we first met, my parents, I try to open my eyes, I can barely see, I see Clem rushing over, she gras my hand, screaming my name

" Vi,..Vi!!, Wake up, wake up!!

Clem's POV

I  scream Violet's name constantly, holding her hands in mine, I check her over for injuries, I lift up her shirt to see her chest covered in dried blood, blood still oozing from a giant cut across her chest, I cover it. With both my hands to stop the bleeding

"Vi, why didn't you tell me?,...why?.." I scream, while sobbing to my girlfriend's shirt

The others rush over to me and Violet, after seeing me rush back, seeing what happened, Louis carried her back   into the school calling Ruby over, and she starts to operate on Violet, I sit there next to my girlfriend, Ruby decides to break the silence.

"I see you too were a 'thing', y'know before you arrived, she was different, she used to stay in her room for days, no wanting to be here, she wanted to go home, I would talk to her, but it felt like she wasn't all there, but when you arrived, she talked to me constantly on how funny, and kind and beautiful you were.." she explains, I begin to blush

"She really likes you, she's had a few girlfriends, but she said you were the only one she could ever truly trust, anyway, I assume you are wandering how she got the scar?" She asks

"Yeah kinda" I say nervous

"She's had it for a while, but she has refused help, because she didn't want you to worry about her, that she's not important" Ruby says her lips quivering

"She is important, she means the world to me" I exclaim

"I know I told her that, but she insisted, and it eventually got infected, not viral infection, just normal bacteria, so it got worse, she just took painkillers, and now we're in this situation" Ruby explains

"I,..this so much to take in.." I say lost for words

Again, there was an awkward silence, then we hear Aasim, calling us for dinner, I head down, Ruby stays with Violet she says she always has diner early, in case these situations happen, I head over to Omar to get my bowl of beans in sauce, I sit down with, Aasim and Louis
