Chapter 4
"Shit" I sat there in my cell whispering to myself, "Shit! How the hell are they going to manage this one! Shit!" After half an hour of waiting I started pacing up and down in my tiny cell. I had no idea what to expect. Who the hell was involved in this? How the hell could we pull something like this off? It was crazy. But then again if it set me free then I'm all for crazy. After another half hour of pacing I heard a noise, it was kind of like a thud, but that was it, there was no scream or signs of fighting. I just assumed someone upstairs must have dropped something. The two guards near my cell and the other two guards near the entrance to the hallway didn't look at all concerned about the noise, so I figured I would just ignore it and put it down to paranoia... That was until Lissa walked in though the entrance, she didn't look at me she looked straight at the guards by the doors she had just come through. "You will not react to anything that is about to happen!" She spoke firmly and a watched what she was doing, she was compelling them, I couldn't see from the distance away that I was but I knew their eye would be glazed over by now. Another set of feet walked in and stood by Lissa, I was completely shocked to see my ex enemy but now good friend standing there. Mia Randali, she now lived at the Royal Court with her father and had become close to the guardians because in their and her spare time they taught her how to fight. Mia grabbed the first guard and slammed it into the door he fell unconscious to the ground almost immediately. My guards had seen what had happened and one of them had started to fun to help him but the other guard the one I happened to know quite well, Mikhail, grabbed him from behind fighting him. The both put up quite a fight but I was more concerned about Lissa and Mia. She had done the same to the other guardian that was under compulsion. Guilt had crossed her face because it was the guardians that had taught her everything she knew about fighting. After a lot of grunting, kicking and punching Mikhail finally got his arm around the other guy's neck and was squeezing tightly. He dropped down to the floor and I hoped that he wasn't dead. Lissa and Mia walked quickly over to my cell.
"The keys, quickly!" She looked at Mikhail and he reached for his keys in his pocket. Whilst unlocking the cell he told me to take my clothes off. He started stepping out of his clothes and I was wondering what the fuck was going on. I looked towards Lissa and she had a small smile on her face which told me they weren't messing around. "Rose, I need you to put Mikhail's clothes on, I know it seems weird but trust me it will work out for the best." So I did. It wasn't like I had a choice in the matter. I stepped out of the cell and to my surprise Mikhail stepped in. "Here, wear this." Lissa passed both me and Mikhail a silver ring and we both immediately put them on. I didn't know what sort of compulsion she had put in it at fist. But then I looked up and saw myself back in the cell. Mikhail was going to pretend to be me so I wouldn't get in trouble for escaping... Shit, I hoped he didn't accidently get executed! I looked up at him and smiled. I was so thankful for his help. It wasn't his first time he had gone out of his way to help me. "Thank you; I don't know how I will ever repay you."
"Just make sure you come back and save me." He replied to me. I nodded at him and I knew that I would come back because I had to thank him properly. I locked the cell door with him in it and backed away walking down the corridor. Lissa put a further compulsion on the guards so that they wouldn't remember anything. We took off in the direction of the car park. The sun was out which meant it was morning in the human worlds and therefore it was quiet around the court apart from the odd person here and there. As we got to the car park there was a guardian car waiting for us. I climbed in to the front of the first car because apparently I had to drive to be able to get out of court. Lissa climbed into the back. I turned to the side I nearly jumped out of my seat! Eddie was sat there; he started laughing at my girly shocked facial expression on a grown man's face. When I turned around I realised we was not at all alone, Christian was in the car too, as well as Adrian and Mia. "What the hell is this, a family reunion?" I smiled at them to let them know I was joking and the all just burst out laughing because it was something Mikhail would never say. After a few minutes Lissa looked at me. "We need to be serious now, because we have to get out of court and you will need to speak to the guardians at the gates." As we drove forward I was starting to get really nervous, I didn't want to mess things up and go back to jail. We came to a halt at the gate. I wound the window down and saw a familiar guardian. "Hey Mikhail, going out?" I looked at the guy a bit puzzled.
