Alex's POV
Yes, I'm Alex Trumain Fuentes. Yes, I love music. No, I'm not happy.
I know loads of people would kill to be in my shoes, but they don't understand how Lonely it is. My dad was my best friend, he passed away last summer. I still come home sometimes expecting to see him.
He was in the recording studio working on some new bass parts when the studio mysteriously caught on fire. Don't think I believe for a second it was a natural fire.
I found a match amongst the ashes. The police of course, refused to look into it.
So I took it upon myself to find my fathers killer and avenge him. Even though I was starting to think it was more for me. As much as I missed my dad, I just wanted it all to be over. And I couldn't see that happening without his killer being dead.
I was at Grandpa Vic's right now actually. There was Pierce The Veil posters and Darkness Falls posters all over. But only 3/4s of PTV was still alive.
Mike died of an overdose two years ago. I remember him so clearly. He was the fun one. he took me to see R rated movies when I was 13, he took me to Walgreens to buy candy on Halloween night since we where both to lazy to go door to door, he even got me my first job at hot topic, he also go me fired from my first job at hot topic.
I spent a lot of time here at grandpa Vic's. But I spent most of my time with my boyfriend, Jackson.
My mom loves him, and I guess I do too.
I could never leave him.
In fact, I said goodbye to Grandpa Vic and went outside. Jackson had just pulled up and I climbed inside his car.
"Hey Alex." He said.
"Hi Jackson." I replied.
We drove down the road mostly in silence. Eventually we pulled up into the parking lot of a place called The Trap.
It's an old wear house now used as one big 24/7 party with open invite.
We went inside where they where blaring some new pop song I've never heard. I preferred old rock, alternative, post-hardcore music. Like old bands like Pierce The Veil, Sleeping With Sirens, My Chemical Romance, Bring Me The Horizon, Black Veil Brides, stuff like that.
"I'm going to get something to drink." Said Jackson. He didn't offer me anything but that was okay.
A tall boy with black hair and blue eyes walked up to me. He was wearing a Mayday Parade shirt and black skinny jeans.
"Hey, what's a pretty girl like you doing here all alone?" he asked.
"I'm not, please go away." I said rudely.
"Why?" He asked confused.
"Just go." I begged.
"Not until you tell me why." He said playfully.
"I can't. Just go away." I insisted.
"Okay, bye then." He said turning around to leave.
Then Jackson came back. "What do you think you're doing?" he screamed at me.
"Nothing, I was telling him to go away." I pleaded.
"Shut up Alex." He said walking to the boy with Black hair.
"What do you think you where doing with my girlfriend?" he roared in his face.
"Nothing man, calm down." He said.
Jackson must've know this guy was stronger than him and he turned around and hit me. I stumbled back a little bit but didn't make a big deal. It wasn't the first time at all.
The mysterious blue eyed boy looked shocked but responded quickly.
"Please don't do it." I whispered.
He punched Jackson in the stomach sending him backwards. The crowd parted.
"Fight! Fight! Fight!" They cheered. I ran to Jackson and knelt beside him but he pushed me off. He stood up as stormed out.
"Maybe you're new boyfriend will give you a ride home." He hissed.
I say on the floor and scowled at the stranger. He should've just gone away.
"So umm..you need a ride?" he asked.
"Not from you." I growled.
"Why are you mad at me?!" He questioned. "I'm not the one who hit you!"
"You should've just gone away and never talked to me again." I said as if it was obvious.
He looked at me. "Fine, I give up. Walk home then." He said frustrated.
And that's what I did. I walked out of the building and back to my house. It started raining about half way there but I didn't go any faster. I didn't care.
I walked inside and ran up to my room, took a shower and refused to let myself cry. It was late so I changed into a Bring Me The Horizon t-shirt and some pajama pants.
I brushed my hair and teeth climbed into bed. I wasn't tired so I put on some music and thought about the blue eyed boy.
No, he was wrong. He didn't understand it's not that simple. I love Jackson. And he puts up with my ugliness and all my flaws.
I can put up with a few bruises.
I heard my mom walk inside with Auntie Trix.
"Alex!" She called up the stairs. "I brought dinner."
"I already ate!" I lied.
I heard her sigh.
"She has a new excuse not to eat everyday. I haven't seen her eat in four days." Mom said to Trix.
"And she won't talk to you about it?" asked Trix.
"She won't talk to me about anything!" said Mom.
"Have you thought about sending her with Vic for a few days?" Says Trix. "He turned you around when you where her age."
"That was 15 years ago." Said Mom.
Trix sighed. "don't worry, you'll figure something out."
"Yeah, you're right. I'm probably just paranoid." Said mom.
I wished I could tell them they where right. I wished I could tell them everything. But they wouldn't be able to fix it anyways.
