"Light," You call. Your brother pokes his head out of the window and smiles.
"___!" He greets.
"Grab your backpack, we're going to hang out with Zoro today." You tell him. Light waves at Zoro before disappearing briefly and hopping out the window with his back pack.
"Hi, ___ said you were a cool guy. I'm Light!" He offers his hand to the older guy. Zoro chuckles glancing at you before shaking Lights hand.
"I'm Zoro, your sister says you're a cool kid." He rumbles. Light grins and chuckles sheepishly. You smile watching them briefly.
"Alright, let's get going."
You came to another dead end, you and Light look at Zoro no longer amused, and slightly worried. He shifts, that pink over his cheeks was becoming more obvious. He rubs his cheek looking away. "... Let's try the other way--"
"No." You say flatly. He stops, looking down with a small frown. "Now I'm leading." You add taking the lead. He blinks and nods following after you with Light.
Five minutes later after two hours following Zoro around, you reach his apartment door. He unlocks his door as someone comes out a few doors down. You look over as Law freezes catching sight of you. He really did look like a delinquent outside of school.
You smirk and turn to approach him but he holds up his arm. "No..." He begins pink building on his cheeks.
"Law!" Light waves. You grin when he pauses blinking at Light and run up, giving him a tackle hug. He grunts falling back and holding you to him instinctively.
"Hi my future husband!" You whisper. His face explodes into the cutest shade of red at that.
"G-Get off ___!" He gasps trying to move away. You giggle and get up, he jumps to his feet, swiftly retreating down the stairs.
"I love you Law!" You call, grinning hearing your little brother's laughter.
"Come on stop tormenting my neighbors ___," Zoro chuckles. You giggle and follow him inside, blinking in surprise.
"Wow! It's like a Japanese house!" Light gasps in awe. Zoro chuckles sheepishly.
"Make yourself at home," He rumbles closing the door. "Your sister and I will get started on our project." He gestures to the video games before leading you into the other part of the important that had sword decorations on the walls and a table in the center with the supplies sitting on top.
"This is a really nice apartment." You tell him looking around impressed.
"Don't tell me, you've misjudged me again. Expected a messy apartment." He guesses.
"Yes and no... I had no idea you were into Japan theme... Lights not going to want to leave.." You comment sitting down.
"You don't have to, I live alone and there's a spare bedroom you both can sleep in..." He tells you. You blink at him and he rubs his neck. "Or you can just stay here for the project, I don't mind either way." He says.
You smile thoughtfully. "That would be easier." You muse and he lights up slightly.
"Alright, good... I'll order pizza later." He smiles thoughtfully.
"Sounds great, I'll have to make a trip back to get us some clothes." You murmur bringing out some project ideas.
"You want to come with you? Light can hang out with Law until we get back." He breathes. You shift.
"Sure... That's probably best... So you don't get lost again." You give him a smirk. He frowns, poking your side and making you giggle pulling away.
"We're going with the moss and magnet one." He decides. "And if that one doesn't work you can pick."
"That moss one is going to take some time though." You point out. He smiles and shrugs.
"Then I guess you'll be staying over often." He hums. You blink and feel yourself blushing lightly.
"Touché." You murmur.
You climb through your window and and begin to put together some clothes quietly. You can hear them in the other room m screaming at each other. You finish gathering the bags and straighten up. The silence makes you pause and look over hearing foot steps approach the door. You pale and swiftly toss the bags out the window as the door slams open and you look over as Adam shifts drunken.
"There you are little witch! Where's the little dipshit?" He snarls stepping toward you.
"At friends--" He closes he gap, grabbing your throat, ale heavy in his breath. You gag and cough struggling.
"Useless... We should've never taking you in... Burdens..." He hisses, squeezing your throat. You claw at his hand struggling for air. He smirks disgustingly, as your vision blurs. Someone punches him and he hits the ground with a thud. You gasp and cough for air. Zoro picks you up and jumps out the window with.
"Z-Zoro..." You gasp as he adjusts to straddle his waist, grabbing the bags and running down the sidewalk with you.
"I got you..." He breathes. You hug his neck and break down crying into his shoulder. He runs into an alleyway, putting down the bags and hugging you tightly, rubbing your back. "Shhh.... I got you... You're safe..." He He whispers.
"I'm s-sorry... I'm sorry I'm causing you trouble....I'm sorry.... Such a nuisance..." You cry. He pulls back wiping away your tears.
"Shhh.... You're not a nuisance or a bother... I like spending time with you... You're the coolest girl I've ever known." He assures. You blush trying to calm down. "Your brother is pretty cool too."
"Y-Yeah... He's awesome..." You choke out with a smile. He smiles softly and hugs you close again.
"That's better, I like your smile..." He breathes. "Comforting..."
"Thank you.." You giggle hoarsely.
"Come on, let's back get to the apartment."
"Okay Zoro.."
