C h a p t e r 1

Kendall's pov (age 10)

I have lived here for five years. In this sad lonely town. Nothing ever happens. Everything is always the same. But today. Something changed. Drastically.
Today, my neighbors, the ones I've known since childhood, are moving. I was sad they where moving, but not nearly as worried as who would be moving into the house. I've seen them once from a distance and wowza. The son is gorgeous.
I should probably introduce myself before I introduce my new neighbors. I'm Kendall. Kendall Jackson. I live in a small town named Lightsanville.
In this small town the weather is always rainy. The last time it didn't rain for a whole 24 hours was summer of 2006. That was the year I moved and ironically it was also the day I moved in to my house. But that was it. Though, the weather is horrible, I love it here. I actually kind of like the rain. Never really was an outside gal. Ya know?
Anyways. Back to my neighbors. They are the Dolans. A husband a wife, and one child. I'm going to meet them later, but I'm not worried about that. I actually am really good at talking to people, so I'm excited to meet some new people.
Later, at around 6:15, I got dressed. I put on my favorite flowery dress, and some lip gloss. I mean why would I need anything else? I'm only 10. After I got ready i went to walk down the stairs. As  I arrived to the second to last step and jumped to the end as per usual. I was actually really excited not gonna lie. My mom saw me and said.
"Ready?"
I nodded and we left.
It was only us, since my dad had died about a month before. We walked out the door and started towards their house. We walked about 10 steps and boom. We where there.
My mother knocked on the door and the boy I saw when they first arrived in lightsanville opened the door. My knees, and stomach felt weird. He was sooo cute. We walked in and I notice the son sitting in the chair at the end of the table.
"Weren't you just at the door?"
"No." He said.
"I was" The voice from behind me startled me.
I jumped and turned around I had look twice.
They where twins.
I sat down still confused we started talking.
"Are you going to public school, Kendall?" Mrs Dolan asked.
"Yes, I'm going to west wood around the corner"
"Oh cool so are we!" Grayson said with a big grin.
"Glad we will know someone haha" Ethan replied
"What grade?" Mrs. Dolan said.
"5th, and I'm super excited"
The twins face lit up and they said in unison,
"WE ARE TOO"
I immediately knew I had new best friends.
"What class?" I said eagerly
"Mrs. Ink, what about you"
I didn't have to answer. They knew my answer by the look on my face. We looked at each-other and  I knew that at this year was going to be amazing. we were done with the food and it was still early. The twins and I left to go upstairs. We hung out for a while and we all had a lot in common. We liked the same music (besides Ethan), we liked the same books, and we liked the same movies. We also all agreed that baseball was our favorite sport.  They where so nice and funny, and I knew we where going to be best friends.

Also it took me a while to put the times together, so she was born in 2001 and lived in (lets just say Kentucky ) In 2006 (the age of 5) she moved to lightsanville and lived there for for 5 years (she is now 10) and the twins move next door and they are 10 as well. ~~~~~~~
