IT TOOK HER FOUR MOONS TO PUT THINGS BACK TOGETHER. She sent Jayne and several of her men to the Westerlands to get their revenge on House Lannister, and she named Lena as her heir, should she perish unexpectedly. Jayne was a leader, a commander, and perfect for the job, but she would not be Princess. She refused before Sarella even offered.
The city was in order again, and things were getting back to normal. Though Sarella could not get her mind off of the dragon king.
It was out of character for her, and a strange feeling to have. Never had anyone— man or woman— made her feel that way. Never had she been the one seduced instead of the one seducing.
So for several moons, she did not see him. She pushed him to the back of her mind and focused on her people, as any proper ruler should do. Until she received a letter inviting her to the King's Name Day celebration for his five-and-twenty Name Day.
It had clearly been sent to every major lord or lady in the Realm, as the words were bland and painfully common. She could not decide whether she would go or not. It would be difficult to face him, after the incident that day.
It was Lena who convinced her to go. It was her duty, to attend this celebration and to show them all that she was unaffected. So she did. She would be brave and bold— she would be herself.
More men were put on watch before she left, and extra precautions were taken. As much as she knew she should have left Jayne or Lena, she could not bring herself to. She brought both of her friends with her once again, leaving Jayne's second-in-command, a man called Trystane Blackmont, in charge.
King's Landing was as magnificent as she remembered. More had been built— a Sept on one of the three hills, a Keep on another, and then the main castle on the third. The rest of the city was small houses and markets.
Sarella rode through the city with Jayne and Lena at her sides and men selected by Jayne for extra protection. They would take no chances after what they had gone through.
They dismounted before they went into the castle, and when they went inside to the throne room, it was empty. The guard escorting them explained that Aegon must have had things to attend to for the party the next day. He took them to their bedchambers though the King did not know they had arrived. He gave Sarella her old room, explaining that no one had taken it yet. Jayne and Lena's bedchambers were on either side of hers.
Later that evening, Sarella changed into a sheer yellow gown with a deep plunging neckline and a cinched waist. Her hair, grown a little over her shoulders over the months, was in loose waves. She then set off to find the dragon king.
She remembered him telling her where his solar was, so she tried there first. She knocked on the door once, twice. It opened after the second.
His face contorted into a shocked expression. "Sarella?" He breathed. "What are you doing here?"
"I got an invitation," she replied, simply, leaning against the frame of the door. Her eyes met his for a moment, and saw a mixture of lust and confusion in them. "I couldn't refuse the King, could I?"
"I didn't send it."
"I can leave, if you like," she offered at his words.
"No, no, I—"
She kissed him. Hard on the mouth, roughly and passionately. Aegon responded immediately, returning her kiss and tangling his fingers in her hair. He pulled her into the room and she kicked the door shut behind her.
They went through another door to Aegon's bedchambers— the ones that were separate from his wives— and Sarella pushed him down into the bed. She climbed on top of him and hastily undid his pants, pulling them down and lifting her dress up. As she sunk down on him she moaned loudly.
"Oh, fuck, Conqueror. . . ," she moaned between kisses.
"Aegon," he told her, breathing heavily, "My name is Aegon."
A/N: Woah, it's finally here! I did it! XD. Let me know what you thought, I certainly hope you enjoyed it!
