The Ocean Calls

I'm writing this letter to tell you I'm ok

The distant sky looks the same as everything else, blue grey.
There is almost no horizon, the ocean and sky, they are the same,
Only divided by me.

I drift by a ghost ship on the open sea
The haunting silence, the grey blue sky, no one for miles.

I ran out of food, water, and hope

The sky still a blue grey even in the blackness of night
The stars dot the sea
The waves brush the sky

I think the ocean is calling to me

The clouds swirl, the fish rush by
I'm fading away, I can feel it now
The song of the sea brewing in me

Good-bye

Singing to the stars
Cradled by the sea
I'm home now
The ocean was waiting for me
