You might think that when you have everything, then you are no doubt always happy. You might think that you have everything figured out for you if you're rich.

Well, actually

No.

That's not true.

And I know that. Because I thought it was so too at one point.

It was when I was a kid.

When I was a child, my life was, well you could say - perfect. I lived in a giant castle, had all the clothes I could ever want, and had all the food I could physically eat. I had tons of friends, loving parents, and just everything a child could ever want. I never had any reason to work, serve myself, or to learn how to survive on my own. The only things that I had to know was how to sew, cook, dress on my own, learn my manners, and to go through schooling. You might think 'Hey, that doesn't sound so bad-' no, I'm not done.

After the age of 9 my life became serious. Forced to leave my childhood behind, I was exposed to what our reality really was. I realized was one of the lucky ones. A princess living in a fantastic castle sounds like a pretty good fairytale story. But on the outside of it, beyond the our walls and the walls that enclosed the top and middle class, lay the home of the commoners. The working class who could barely pay for their homes. Taxes were high, good meals were scarce, and life over there was just the same cycle of misfortune generation after generation. But I could do nothing for them, because my father thought that the only thing I should worry myself with was how to be a proper lady. I wasn't allowed to concern myself with the well being of our people. No matter how much I tried to raise awareness to my father and the higher ups, nobody would listen. I was told to be quiet, do my lessons, and not to step out of line. Basically, my life never felt like my own. Well, if I'm being honest, then all of this happened after I reached the age of 9. The worst year of my life. Not for just me, but for my entire family and the Kingdom of Telkmainia.
