I quickly made my way to my first class, a cold sweat running down from my eyebrow.

I finally spotted room 206 and opened the door.

The class to my luck didn't even start. I took a seat in the back and plugged my earphones into my ears and put my books on the desk and just started doodling roses.

Why you gotta be so rude?

Don't you know I'm human too?

Why you gotta be so rude?

I'm gonna marry her anyway

Marry that gi-

My song was interrupted by someone pulling my earphones out. I glared at the person who sat beside me.

"What is your proble-"

I cut myself off as I noticed all eyes on me. Including the teacher.

"Miss Thorne, please answer the question." The man with a bald head with only some grey hairs told me.

I cleared my throat and glanced at the board.

Who is the president of China?

"Uhm, the president of China is Chi Ching Ping." I replied.

The really old man eyed me carefully. "Please pay attention class."

I rolled my eyes the moment he turned his back.

Gosh.

At least after school I can go to soccer try outs and beat that over confident captain at his own game.

Oh I cannot wait.

× × ×

Oh my gosh, try outs are near.

I looked at the clock in anxiety as I waited for it to hit 14:00.

For once, the bell answered my pleads and I was the first person to be out of the class.

I headed straight for the girls locker room. I quickly changed into my old soccer team uniform which was white.

I ran out of the locker room and straight to the field. The moment I got there, I threw my bag on the stands and quickly put my long hair in a braid.

The soccer team gathered in the middle of the field I decided to join them.

The coach was in the middle of the middle of the little circle and was starting to explain.

The minute he saw me, he stopped talking.

"Sweetheart, the cheerleading doesn't start until tomorrow." He said making the team snicker.

"No kidding but does it look like I'm here for cheerleading old man?" I snapped at him.

The team was no doubt shocked but I had to say it.

Coach cleared his throat. "Moving on."

"Hey wait up!" A voice sounded from behind me. I turned around to see Captain America running towards us.

Great. Just great.

He finally reached us and smirked at me. "Doesn't the cheerleading start tomorrow?" He remarked trying to catch his breath.

"Yeah so you shouldn't be here, captain." Captain America's smirk dropped as the team laughed.

America glared at me before looking back at coach. "Before you were rudely interrupted coach."

The talk for soccer dragged on and on until the actual practicing came. 10 laps around the field, 50 push ups and 3 minute plank.

Plank left me wanting to cry since it was the last one. The team was shocked at what I was capable of but Captain America was just quiet.

Our last thing to do before practice ended was to play a quick game. They divided the team into two parts but coach deliberately left me without a team.

That does it!

I stomped over to coach. "Coach, I don't have a team." I told him biting my tongue.

Coach looked up from his clipboard. "Oh yeah. You." Was all he said.

"Just join any team you want." He dismissed me.

I chose the team that Captain America wasn't in so I could definitely beat him at his own game.

The guys in my team groaned when they saw me in their team but I didn't pay much attention to them.

The whistle blew and the game started. The guys on Captain America's team headed in our direction.

One of the guys in my team took the ball from the other team and I waved my arms in the air.

"I'm open!" I shouted to him. He looked up at me yet ignored me. As he wanted to shoot, Captain America stole the ball from him.

Just keep calm. Just keep calm Brook.

I ran in Captain America's direction and wasted no time in stealing it and scoring. Everyone was shocked, including coach.

I just smirked at all of them.

Later on coach called us to gather. "That was great team. You were all excellent. But not all of you can make it. The names will go up tomorrow. Now, go home." Coach dismissed us.

I headed over to the stands and grabbed my bag. I took out my water bottle and the minute I saw Captain America, I called out to him.

"Hey captain! Sorry about your loss." I pouted.

He muttered something to himself before going up the stands to me. .

"Look, newbie, you just got lucky. Tomorrow, results come out. So don't get excited just yet."

I laughed in his face. "Yeah. I guess we will see."

This guy is hilarious.
