Scientific Confession [Rei x reader]

 
 "Okay class," The teacher called, "Today we'll be having chemistry practicum today. All of you will work together as a pair. Each pair has to be from different sex." 

You sighed and rested your chin on your palm, uninterested in listening to your chemistry teacher chanting out the names of every students in your class.

You turned your gaze to someone. A male in particular he has dark blue hair, purple hair, and wears red-framed glasses. He's known as the handsomest and the most intelligent guy in your class.

Ryugazaki Rei.

He's also your crush. You've liked him since you entered the second year. You instantly fell in love with him at first sight, that was when you had trouble with your physics homework.

You and Rei were quite close to each other, since you two always helped each other when having trouble on getting done with the homework, and your house is the same direction as him, and you would go home together with him sometimes.

You gazed rested on Rei's back. He's sitting a few columns away from you, second row from the teacher's desk. Your eyes narrowed as you kept on staring at him, hoping that you would get him as your partner for the chemistry practicum.

You were never good at the subject, so you always wanted to be paired up with him. 

 "Ryugazaki Rei ... With ..." The teacher called out his name, and Rei's head turned up.

 "(First Name) (Last Name)." The teacher finally called your name. "You two will be paired for today's chemistry practicum."

Your eyes widened, you were paired up with him. Your mind screamed "Hoorrrrrraaaaay! Glory to me!" as your eyes stared and met his purple ones. You blushed for making an eye contact with him accidentally. But Rei threw you a smile and whispered some words,

    "Let's do our best, (Name)." 

You simply nod and smiled at him. Glad that you're paired up with him, which means good scores.

After calling all the students' name in your class, finally the teacher ordered the class to go to the chemistry lab to start the practicum.
You grabbed for your chemistry textbooks and notebook, then walked towards the door.
Rei was waiting for you outside, you went to him.

    "Hey, looks like we're paired up again." You said.

    "Yeah ..." He said in low voice while looking the other way.

    You frowned, "I hope you're not bored being paired up with me again." You said, "If you want, I can tell the teachers to --"

    "No!" He exclaimed, "I'm not bored being paired up with you again, (Name). It's just, I'm not feeling well today." He added a little laugh and rubbed his head.

    "Oh, okay ..." You mumbled. Then you two walked together heading for the chemistry lab.

    "How do you do this, Rei? ..." You grumbled as you dipped in the long-sized building nails into the liquid that has been contaminated by chemical substances, containing ionic compounds. 

For today's practicum, you were told to examine and try to dip in both of the long sized nails into a liquid that contained chemical substances, then you observe if the liquid is an electrolyte or non-electrolyte.
 
    "Just dip it in," Rei replied, "Then check the light bulb if it flickers or not."

Rei wasn't paying attention to you since he was busy with something else. So you just do what he told you, just dip it in, then check the light bulb.
