"NATSU!"

That was all he herd before it went black. When he woke up, he was in the infirmary. I.V's attached to his arms and his legs covered by a blanket, covering the swelling. His clothes were changed, black sweat pants and a red tee shirt. To his right was Happy and Lucy, to his left was a chair. He shifted.

"Dammit"

The pain was intense. He felt so weak. Lucy lifted her head, woken by the sudden movement and noise.

"Natsu, your up! How are you feeling?"

"Like crap"

He tried to sit up, only proving it to hard in the process.

"Here, let me help" She put her arm underneath his back and lifted him, propping a pillow behind him.

"I could of done that myself"

"Yeah right"

He sighed. What happened again?

"Why am I here this time?"

"You collapsed from lack of oxygen, Porlyusica thinks your heart's swelling more"

Yeah, that's right. He has heart failure. Happy looked up with sad eyes. He was awake the whole time.

Months ago he was diagnosed with it by Porlyusica. When he stopped eating. When it started to become painful to move and hard to breath. When his ankles started to swell. It's funny, you know. He thought only old and unhealthy people got diseases, not young and healthy people like him. Much less dragon slayers. He was told it progressed to the point that nothing could be done. He was going to die. Wendy even tried to heal him after that, but nothing came out of it. She wasted her magic. The guild decided for him that he was no longer allowed on jobs, and has to stay at the guild. It frustrated him really, he had nothing to do now, and couldn't even go home! Although, it wasn't like he could make it three steps out the doors without intense pain and heavy breathing. He can't even make it too the doors!

"Can I have that please?" he asked, his eyes shifting from Lucy to the glass of water next to him.

"But it's right next to you"

"I can't lift my hand"

"Prove it"

He tried, only to fail at .5cm of the bed. His arm ached and he felt weaker with every passing second. This sucks.

Lucy's brow creased with worry. She grabbed the glass, lifting it up to his lips.

"Better?"

He swallowed, breathing out before nodding.

"Thanks"

"No problem"

Happy was quiet, to quiet. He was staring at Natsu, watching his every move. These past months have been hard on him. Not just him though, but everyone, especially Natsu. Now was not the time to think about how hard it was, watching his best friend, the person who raised him and cares for him, dying before his very eyes. He could not stop watching Natsu, and he wont. Not like last time, two days ago to be exact. Natsu collapsed, thus making him sleep up until 5 minutes ago. This was the least he could do, watch him.

The least he could do.
