Months ago....

Jeongguk had left CUBE. Not only had his contract expired but he was also suffering from occupational burnout which made him sick a lot. He had been working for about 15 years. First as an escort and later as a manager.

Ever since he started his career in the entertainment industry, he could've carved himself a spot and become a prominent face. But his strict behaviours and stubborn nature made him a controversial figure.

He wasn't in good terms with his family either. He didn't attend his brothers' weddings and never contacted his parents. He knew they would call him whenever they needed his money. He wasn't really important to them.

Hiatus didn't help him at all. He consumed alcohol and smoked dozens of cigarettes but never asked for help. He wasn't the type to do so. He knew that he should, but he didn't.

Tzuyu was hella confused, staring at the curtain. A woman was taking her blood. She asked for water and looked back at her. The woman said she cannot consume anything for a few hours.

"Can I meet my manager? Please. I have to see him." Her voice was shaking and she was feeling a pain in her heart. She didn't know why she just got this feeling but she really tried to conceal it in front of her.

"Sorry. But he is not available now. But don't worry. He'll finish it soon and come back."

"Alright." She didn't have a good feeling about the stranger and wished she had left. Then tried to recall what happened to her. But everything was vague.

Later, she felt a sting on her arm. Gradually her vision became darker and then fell asleep.

It had past night when she woke up. Some unnies had come to see her. It was hard for Tzuyu to see them. They had gathered around her bed.

"Are you fine, child?" Jeongyeon said with a low voice. Looked like they were all distressed by what had occurred past day.

Tzuyu shook her head as a yes. "I'm fine. What are you doing here?"
