Sloth at the top

Clint's POV

I watched Peter leave, but secretly wished he'll come back to practice more. But family is important, so he needs to see his aunt. I sat on the ground and stared at the ceiling.

"What a nice place to lay down. You're tired, I know you are. You know, all you have to do is grab that knife in your pocket and slice that throat of yours. It takes no time, and you'll have eternal rest. The most peaceful sleep that goes on forever." Sloth.

"It might be easy to think about, but it's hard to actually take the blade to my throat." I informed Sloth.

He kept repeating reason as to why it's so easy. I blacked out, ignoring Sloths comments. I must've been in my own head for a few hours. I came back to the real world, in time to hear Sloth screaming at me.

"Worthless price of shit! All you need to do is raise the fucking blade to your throat. If you can't even do that, how are you an avenger?! You won't only do yourself a favor, but everyone else." Sloth explained.

I stood up and walked out the tower. I stood in the pouring rain for a few minutes. I'm so glad that it's raining. People won't give me nasty looks, since they can't see my tears. I ran through the streets, finding my way to the woods.

I ran into so many people, but only stopped when someone grabbed my shoulder. I got turned around and saw a women caked in tattoos looking at me with worry.

"Are you okay, babe?" She questioned.

"Yeah, I'm just late for something." I lied. I'm actually amazing at lying, but she saw right through me.

"No, you're not. You're using the rain to hide your tears. Come sit and have a cup of coffee with me." She linked our arms and led us to my favorite coffee shop.

"This is my favorite coffee shop." I explained.

"Oh shit, this is my favorite, too. We just became best friends." She had a huge smile on her face.

The seven sins started mumbling to eachother, but I couldn't understand them. I blocked them out, so I could actually have a friend for a limited amount of time.

"The names Kaitlyn, by the way." She introduced herself.

"I'm Jeremy." I never liked my name Clint, so everbody I meet knows me by Jeremy, except for the Avengers. Jeremy fits me. It's the only name that I like, that makes sense.

"Nice to meet ya Jer-Jer." She gave me a nickname.

I smiled, liking the sound of that. It sucks that our friendship won't stay. It's either lie to them, creating a fake friendship, or tell her and get looked at like I'm a freak.

We talked for hours. I told her some of my past. Some things that I told no one. I hope she won't tell anyone.

She gave me her number, telling me to text whenever. Those hours with her, made me feel as if I wasn't alone. It was the feeling that I had with Barney. Like I could count on her to be my best friend and sister.

I walked back to the tower, after saying our farewells. I just walked out of the coffee shop when my mind felt like it was exploding very slowly. I ran to an empty alley.

The pain stopped, but Sloth started talking. "Hey, been a few hours. So how's life? You know what would make it better? I do. Just raise that knife to your throat, or tie a noose, you could even 'forget' your amour in battle. Of course, you're not battling anyone anytime soon so stick with the first two."

I ran the rest of the way to the woods. The sun was starting to shine, so I went to the deep, dark parts of the woods. Where sunlight can't really get in. Sloth was screaming at me, making me wanna commit suicide.

Fell on the ground, with tears falling hard. I gripped the knife, holding it at my throat. I was hesitant, with Sloth telling me to go ahead and do it. Instead of cutting my throat first thing, I sliced my wrists. I cut it once from my wrist, all the way up to my inside elbow. The cut was deep and pouring out blood. I did the same to my other wrist. The second one was sloppy, due to my other wrist bleeding and throbbing with pain.

Finally, I took the knife and cut deeply into my throat. I fell on the ground, dropping my knife, due to the amount of blood I lost. I was going in and out of consciousness. The last thing I heard was praising from Pride, before everything went black.

I slowly woke up in a little home. I sat up and saw this girl, only a couple years younger than Peter, walking up to me. "Hey, you're up! Mama, the man woke up!"

An older woman walked in, she was in her early thirties. "Are you alright? You lost a lot of blood. Drink tons of water, and I'll get you some soft foods so your throat can get use to eating."

I remember her from the tower. She worked for Stark industries. I felt as if I could trust her, but I still won't tell her about the seven souls added to my own.

"I'll go get my wife, she can clean your wounds, again. Hun, he woke up!" she yelled out the last part for her wife to hear.

After a couple of seconds, Kaitlyn walked in. "Hey, are you alright?" Her voice was soft and caring.

"Do I look like it?" Attitude was laced in my voice. I hated whenever someone talked to me in that stupid kid voice. It made me feel small and helpless.

"I need to head to work. I'll see you later, babe." She kissed Kaitlyn, waving a goodbye at me.

"Here, let me clean your cuts. Why did you do this to yourself?" She questioned as she cleaned my wounds.

"Cause I'm a depressed, suicidal boy." I lied, only half way.

"What's the real reason? I can see through your lies." I still have to question her about that.

I decided to just tell her. It's not like she'll believe me. "I have seven souls inhabiting my own. They're the seven deadly sins. Sloth keeps talking about suicide, making me feel shitty so I will give in and have 'eternal rest'."

She looked at me like she wanted to say something, but didn't. But she seemed to have believed me.

"I'm sorry, love. Just stay strong, just know that they're only in your head. You can ignore them." She explained to me.

She cleaned my cuts and bandaged them up again. She made me rest for a couple more day.

When I woke back up, the wounds was just light scars. It must've not been that deep, but I have no idea how she healed it in a little amount of time, to be honest. Even my throat was good, I could even start eating hard foods, now. Kaitlyn let me leave to go back to the tower, only if I would contact her and hang around with her at times.
