Nellie has the mental age of a five year old since he was very protected by his brother and kept by him all the way through life so far. He is his best and only friend, but is a crybaby sometimes in which his brother helps. Nellie loves Minty in an odd way, he kind of thinks they're married even though Nellie doesn't realise it.
