Airi's pov

No way! JL was overtaken! I turned around and sure enough Louis' eyes also widened with astonishment before closing then and clucking slight. "Hehe, talk about misfortunate. If he hadn't ran over that little bump, he might have stayed ahead of that Roadrunner. But then again this is one of the reasons why racing is so thrilling. Anything could happen at the most unluckiest of moments." Louis said as he looked back at the screen continuing to watch the race.

Guess what he said was true, victory can't be determined just by a driver's ride and skills. "Now this is going really going to be intriguing." Louis stated. "Why?" I asked . "Matt overtook everyone but one person..." "Oh yeah Ainiki( Big brother/ Akihiro)..." "Yeah, this is going to be interesting. The 2nd fastest racer in our crew against the rookie." Louis said as he leaned closer to the screen.

3rd person pov

"I need to improve my time." Akihiro said to himself as he soon approached a left 90 degree turn, he braked hard to shift his Corvette's weight to the front wheels and gripped through the corner while taking the best line.

Akihiro: This is good, my senses are sharp and my 7.0L LS7 V8 is running perfectly. My Corvette managed to clear the corner at 280km/h. My entry, exit, cornering speed and timing were almost perfect. 

However he heard something that caught his attention, it was a sound of another engine roaring behind him. The sound started getting louder and louder which only made Akihiro more confused.

Akihiro: What? Someone's behind me, the last person behind me was JL but that doesn't sound like the GTR's engine. Could it be?

Akihiro turned looked at his rear-view mirror, only to find out that his assumption was true. Matt and his Roadrunner, Crimson were behind him and catching up.

"I got you now!" Matt shouted to himself as he up shifted to 4th gear and arched his eyebrows, showing that he was becoming more focused and serious.

"Not bad but can you keep up." Akihiro said out loud as he upshifted to 5th gear and started pulling away. Both the Corvette and the Roadrunner passed the ¾ point on the dirt track, both racing as though their life depended on it. Akihiro was currently in the lead while Matt was drafting behind him closely. Soon the 2 of them approached a right hairpin turn. Akihiro stomped on the braked hard and gripped through the corner at 290km/h. However Matt also braked hard and clutch-kicked to make his rear tires loss traction and drifted through the hairpin at 275km/h.

Matt: So you like gripping huh, well 2 can play that asshole!

At the next left corner, both drivers braked hard to the point where their brake discs were almost glowing red and gripped through the corner but Matt was able to clear the corner at the same speed as Akihiro, 295km/h.

"Impressive, you were able to keep up with me in the corner. But you're no match for me." Akihiro said to himself as he upshifted and accelerated away.
