"Are you seeing someone?" I asked.
"No," he chuckled "are you?".
"No" I answered quietly. What 16 years old hasn't dated somebody? Me.
"But you're-" he abruptly stopped. I wonder what he was gonna say. He probably realized why I don't have a boyfriend. Im disgusting.
It's quiet for a few moments, besides the harsh rain hitting the windows. I get out my phone and put on a song I like to listen to when it's raining out.
"I love that song," Ezra said.
"Me too," I said "one of my favourites".I yawn.
"Are you tired?" Ezra asks. I nod 'yes' in response. I could barely sleep after last night. I don't want to go home today. I can't go home today.
"I should be getting home now anyway so it's fine," I say.
"Get ready," he says "I'm driving you"Mae" Already am, boss," I say, standing up with him. He easily has a foot on me. Im only 5'2.
"Good girl," he says, making me feel small. He pets my head."Let's go then, shall we?".
"Y-yes sir," I say, he lets out a small chuckle. Ezra then sighs in content.
He grabs my hand and pulls me over to the front door. He unlocks the door with his free hand. His hands are so veiny and muscular. I trace his arm, wondering-
"Cherie? I asked what happened to your lip?" Ezra said, bring me out of my gaze. Fluffing heck.
"Mm-my cat scratched it," I say. I hope he will believe that.
"Okay, sure," he said, not believing me. He holds my hand again. When he is leading me to his car I felt a weird warmness in the stomach, even though it was chilly out. We reach his car, I sit down and make a mental checklist of what I will for the night that is approaching.
'-Shelter
-Warm clothes
-School bag
-Basic necessities'Where will I stay?
I shivered. This weather is getting to be too cold for my liking.
"Are you cold?" Ezra says "Here takes this". Ezra takes off his cardigan, he wrapped it around me instead.
"You don't have t-" I say.
"No, please, take it," he says "I don't want you being sick later in school".He was right. I accept the cardigan and smelled it when it was over me. Sweet vanilla.
"Same place as last time?" My teacher asks.
"Yes," I said, "Thank you for driving me by the way".
"No problem, Cherie," he says , whispering, sending goosebumps down my body. Starting at my hair, and trickling down to my feet. I pull the cardigan closer to me.
After some time of deciding where to go for the night, I make the decision to go to a hotel after a pick up a few things. I know if I stayed at someone else they would ask too many questions of why I'm not at my house.
"We're here, Mae," Ezra says. I don't want to be.
"Thanks again," I say, getting out of the car.
"Anytime," Ezra says "Also, you look lovely today".
He said right I close the door. I mutter a thank you while blushing. I start walking when I realize he isn't leaving till I go inside. Prepare for hell. I wave him off as soon as I reach the front door.
I shut the door behind me and quickly looked around to see if my moms here. She's not here, good.
