Chapter 3: Let The Romance Begin
*Simon's POV*
I wake up early the next morning. Frankie's arm is around me. She snuggled up close to me. I smile and kiss her on the forehead. I can do that, right? I mean, isn't she kind of my girlfriend now?
I'm not really sure. Today will hopefully clear that up.
I go downstairs and make breakfast: my world famous buttermilk pancakes. Well, they're not quite world famous. Yet.
Assassination was a well paying job, yet it was really you that was paying. It's really hard to know that I stooped so low. I mean, I could've just worked at McDonalds. Whatever. What's done is done.
And I don't plan on going back down that road.

About 45 minutes later, the pancakes are done, and cooked to perfection. I also decided to cook some eggs and bacon too, in case Frankie doesn't like pancakes. That, I highly doubt, because after all, who doesn't like pancakes?
Frankie walks down the stairs just in time. "Good morning, Frankie." I say with a smirk on my face. "Good morning, Simon. You're never going to stop calling me Frankie, are you?" she laughs.
"Nope."
I fix her a plate and bring it to the table.
She takes a few bites. The look on her face is priceless. "These are amazing!" she exclaims. That really boosts my confidence. I've only cooked for other people about three other times, so I wasn't quite sure if anyone else liked my cooking.
Frankie made it pretty clear.
"You could try out for a cooking show or something," she says. A huge smile spreads across her face. "That's it! You could try out for a cooking show!"
"I don't know," I say. "Do you really think I could?" "Totally!"
We look at each other.
Is she thinking what I'm thinking?
She leans in a little bit. I'm guessing that's a yes.
I lean in too. Ours lips meet.
I've only kissed one other girl, and it was in seventh grade. We were playing spin the bottle at the skating rink. It wasn't really anything special. I barely knew the girl. I think her name was Amanda?
Anyway, this was much different. And a good different.
We pull away. "Wow..." I whisper. Then I realize how weird that sounded and look at the floor. I guess I would have to say this sooner or later, because otherwise, it'd be really awkward. Besides, I'm pretty sure we both want to know the answer.
"So are we... Dating?" I ask.

*Francesca's POV*
"So are we... Dating?" Simon asks.
I smile at the thought. I've never actually had a serious relationship before. "I'd like that," I reply. It's official. I have a boyfriend!

*Simon's POV*
Now that I have some support, I think I really can enter a cooking contest. Maybe a few small ones at first for practice, and then I'll go to one on TV. This will be my big break! Goodbye, assassination.
We eat the rest of our food and I clean up the kitchen when we're finished. I sit back down at the table with Frankie. "What do you want to do today?" I ask.
"I'm not sure," she replies. "Need anything done?" "Not that I can think of."
"Hey, do you have a phone?" she asks. "No, actually," I reply. "I never really gave it any thought." "You sure are different," she laughs. I guess I am. Is that something I should care about?
"Maybe we can get you one today so we can always be in touch," "Yeah, that's a good idea."

About an hour later, we start getting ready to go to the store. Now that I think of it, this is my very first phone. I'm 18. For most kids my age, that is unheard of. I put on a blue short sleeved shirt with a pocket on the right side and some jeans.
I'm really getting tired of this summer weather, to be honest. I'm a sweater weather type of person. Frankie and I meet up at the door. She is wearing a baby blue sundress with little strawberries on it. Before we started getting ready, she stopped by her house to grab some clothes and stuff like that.
When we get to the store, I am overwhelmed by how many choices of phones there were. We go over to the display. She shows me an iPhone 5. She says it's moderately new and it has everything I would need.
Then she mentions something about 32 gigabytes. I have no idea what that is, but I just smile and nod like I do. We go over to the counter and I hand the cashier some money. I always get paid in cash.
Sometimes I wish I had a bigger wallet.
When we get home, Frankie activates my phone for me and shows me how to use it. She shows me all the buttons. Then she tells me about 'apps'. "The hell is that?" I laugh. She laughs with me and kisses me on the cheek.

It has taken about 5 hours to figure out everything, but I finally know how to use my phone completely. I even downloaded some apps. One of them was Piano Tiles. It's really addicting.
It's about 7 PM. We just finished dinner (chicken and dumplings), so Frankie and I decide to watch a movie. A scary one, at that. I let her pick. She picks out Chucky. Surprisingly, Frankie laughed all the way through the movie.
Her laugh makes me want to laugh too, so I join her. We just joked about the whole movie. I love how she can always make things happier. Normal girls usually get scared during scary movies, but she turns them into comedies.
She always finds a way to make the situation brighter.
Frankie is not like other girls.
