Heartbreak.. Boy? (Luke Hemmings)

Chapter 1

"Ashton! Luke! Over here!" I yelled across the airport trying to get their attention. They suddenly look over and i see them smile and wave; then make their way over to me.

"Lo!" Ashton runs and hugs me; Ashton and I always had this weird relationship. We both loved cuddling with each other and we loved each others company but there is no way that we could ever fall for each other. Him and his girlfriend, Ginny, are perfect for each other.

"Hey i want some of Lola too!" I hear Luke complaining. Ashton mumbled something incoherent and pulled away letting Luke hug me. "I missed you so much Lo, I'm never going away for 2 weeks again without you!" Luke and I  grew up right across the street from each other so we were always relatively close. I remember I was 6 years old when they had moved in. 

** Flashback**

I was just coming home from before school shopping with my Dad and i was kind of excited. What 6 year old girl isn't excited going into grade 1? Anyways my Dad was pulling into the driveway when I saw my new neighbours going into the house. I knew that my old neighbour, Hazel had moved away so I was kind of excited to be getting new neighbours.

"Daddy are those the new people that are live there?" I asked curiously. "Yeah they are Lo, look I think there is a little boy with them. We should go say hello to them." Dad suggested. "Okay."

We got out of the car just as the Lady was trying to carry 3 boxes into the house. Once we had gotten closer one of the boxes dropped and my dad rushed over to help her. "Here, i'll get it for you." My dad said politely. "Thank you so much, here you can just bring it in here." She replied, but she talked funny. As the lady led him to where she would like him to put the box i asked my dad "Why is her voice weird?" But my dad just shushed me and continued to follow the lady. "You can just put the box over here" The lady said pointing to the corner of the room.

"Alright, do you need any more help?" My dad asked her

"Um, sure if you have the time. It would be so nice; it is just my son and I. He is only 6 so he can't help."

"Yeah no problem. It is just my daughter and I too so i get it."

"Oh really? How old are you sweetie?" The lady asked me, crouching down to my height.

"Six." I answered shyly and moved behind my Daddy's leg. "Don't be shy baby.." My dad said sweetly patting my head. "What's your name sweetheart?" The lady asked me again

"My name is Lola." I answered slowly coming out from behind my dad's leg. "Oh it's very nice to meet you Lola. I am Liz" She said sticking out her hand for me to shake.

I hesitantly stuck my hand out and as soon as i did she took my hand in hers and shook our hands up and down furiously. I laughed and did it with her.

"Yeah my son and I just moved her from Australia. All of my family lives there so I am all alone here. "

"Well you will love it here. Chicago is an amazing city!" My dad said back

"Mommy! Where are my trains?" A little boy came running in. Just like his mom, he talks weird, I thought to myself "Luke, there are put away right now. I'll get them for you once I am finished. Go and colour a pretty picture for mommy." She said sweetly. "Okay. Who are they?" He said pointing to my Dad and I.

"Hey buddy, I'm Zac. This Is my daughter, Lola." My dad said giving him a high five.  "Hello." Luke said then ran away.

"LUKE! Come back here" Liz called out to him, Luke ran back into the room. "Yes Mommy?" "Why don't you and Lola go colour while Zac and I put the boxes away.

"Okay! Come on Lola! I have lots and lots of colours!" He showed me where to go. He brought me to his backyard where there was a porch with a bunch of colouring books and crayons spread out. 

"Which colour is your favourite? Mine is blue!" Luke asked me "I don't like blue, green is the best colour ever!" I told him while holding the best green colour. 

"Green is alright but Blue is so much better!" Luke argued holding up a blue crayon.  He then grabbed one of the colouring books and started colouring. "Here," Luke said handing me a colouring book. "You can colour on this one."

"Okay. Luke do you have any friends?" I asked him

"No. I did back where my home was but i don't have any now." He said with a frown.

"Well I will be your friend!" I said grabbing his hand and smiling. He looked at me and smiled back.

 

** End of Flashback**

 

"Okay let's get out of here, I want to go home" Luke said while detaching himself from me. "Okay, by the way Calum and Michael said that we should all go by Michael's house later." I told them having talked to Cal and Mikey before coming to the airport.

"You guys can go, I'm going to go see Ginny." Ashton told us "Do you need a ride there?" I asked him "Yeah, just drive me there and then I'll ask her for a ride later." Ash said

"Mikey! Cal! You here?" Luke called out once we got into the house. "Calum? Michael? Are you guys here?" I yelled. We walked into the kitchen, which had a note on the counter:

We went to go and get some divine snacks and refreshments; cracker, chips, pop and beer

"So, I never got to ask you, how was Australia?" I said curiously as we walked into the living room and sat on the couch."It was really fun, I met up with my family, God i haven't seen them in 4 years; my last visit there."  He said smiling. "Ashton and I had so much fun but I am sure we would have had more"

"Luke, I promise i'll go next time" I said while cuddling into him. I turned on the TV watching a re-run of Teen Wolf. "Ugh why are we watching this?" Luke complained. "Jeez, haven't seen me and TW in 2 weeks and you are already complaining." I laughed.

We heard the doorknob giggle and we looked at the door to see who it was; Cal and Mikey walked in with 4 grocery bags.

"LUKEEY!!!!! BABY I MISSED YOU!" Calum dropped all of his bags and ran into the living room jumping on top of Luke. "Oh hey Lola" He said after squeezing Luke for like 5 minutes. "Mikey! Come say hi to our sugarplum." Cal called out. "Unlike you, i actually put groceries away. Hold on"

"Where's Ash?" Cal asked pouting "He went to go and visit Ginny." I replied. "Oh so they went to go have welcome home sex?" Mikey replied walking in "Yeah obviously" Luke answered "Hey Luke, how was Aussie?" Mikey asked as he sat down in the love seat across from us."It was amazing mate. It was just as i remembered it. We need to make another trip down there, the 5 of us." He said smiling.

"Yeah, I've never been there so we have to go!" I said smiling. These boys are my best friends and I don't know what i would do without them. "Why are we watching Teen Wolf?" Cal questioned. "Because Lo has the remote and she won't change it." Luke complained. "Ha Ha" I giggled.
