Thalia's POV:
I awoke to the sound of screaming. I sat bolt upright in my sleeping bag and looked around until I spotted Annabeth lying right next to me. She was tossing around in her sleeping bag, cheeks stained and eyes red with tears. She kept mumbling things about Percy and Luke, I knelt beside her and tried to shake her awake.
"Annabeth. Annabeth! ANNABETH!" I yelled her name and shook her body, but nothing was working she was still deep asleep and still having her nightmare. I looked around to find that a crowd had formed around Annabeth and I. Then I had an idea.
"Somebody go get Percy! NOW! HURRY!" I yelled and one girls, I'm pretty sure her name was Aspen, ran out of the room to go get him.
3rd Person POV:
When Aspen reached the lunch room she threw the doors open dramatically, over half the teachers who were watching them looked up, obviously just being woken up from a very deep sleep.
"Percy! Percy I need you!" she yelled into the dark room. Soon one head popped up out of the pile of boys in the middle of the room with a flashlight flashing right into her eyes.
"Yeah? What's up, is something wrong?" he asked now fully awake since he saw the urgency in her expression.
"It's Annabeth, Percy. She's having a nightmare and for some reason no one can wake her." she explained. Percy's expression changed from confusion to extreme worry in a matter of seconds. It was only when he took off running that Aspen realized that he wasn't wearing a shirt. Goddamn that's a fine glass of wine right there she thought, but then snapped back to reality when she remembered what was happening, and she took off running too.
When Percy got to the gym, the sight that he saw shattered his heart into a million pieces. There was a crowd around Annabeth and she was thrashing around and screaming and you could tell she'd been crying, kneeling next to her was Thalia, a look of pure terror upon her face. Then Annabeth screamed so loud you would think she had just been stabbed. Percy ran so fast toward her that one second he was across the room from her and the next he was kneeling next to her. He sat down and scooped her into his arms and started to gently rock her.
"Shh, Annabeth, you're okay I'm here, Percy's here. You're safe nothing can hurt you." He whispered in her ear. Slowly, she calmed down and opened her eyes, and once she saw Percy she started crying again.
"Y-you you were dying, Percy. Luke w-was killing you right in front of me and I couldn't do anything to help you. Then Luke turned to me, h-he said it was all my fault, that you were in pain because of me." She sobbed into his bare chest while he kissed her head and continued to rock her.
"It's okay, Annabeth. I'm okay, I'm alive and I love you so much. Nothing is going to hurt you or hurt me, okay?" she nodded in response but still clung to Percy's chest like her life depended on it.
Once she Annabeth had calmed down enough, Percy set her down in her sleeping bag and pulled it up so she was warm enough. He started to get up to leave when Annabeth grabbed his arm.
"No, stay with me please, Percy." she pleaded tears welling in her eyes again. Percy looked at one of the teachers for permission and the teacher nodded. He pulled back the covers of the sleeping bag and climbed in. Annabeth rested her head on Percy's chest and closed her eyes. She fell asleep to the sound of Percy's heartbeat, a constant reminder that he was there with her, and that he was alive.
