Atem, I'm scared...

The bad news....

Normal POV~

Yami woke up one day feeling sick, he was sweating, his throat hurt, he was a little paler than usual, and he was panting a bit from the heat. His boyfriend, the Prince, Atem was already awake since he was not in the bed. 'He probably left to a meeting, I mean he is the Pharaoh's son after all' Yami thought as he got up to go to the bathroom. While on his way he fell down flat on his face making a loud thump. This loud noise apparently was heard by Atem because soon he came to the room to see Yami on the floor panting.

"Are you alright!?" Atem said helping Yami up

"I'm*pant*alright....Atem" Yami said as he panted slightly, Atem placed his hand on Yami's forehead and felt how hot it was. 

"You seem to have a fever. You should lay in bed today" Atem said, removing his hand

"But..." Yami started but was interrupted by Atem picking him up bridal style

"No buts Yami you're staying in bed today ok?" Atem said placing Yami back on the bed. Yami nodded defeatedly. 

"I'll get Isis to check on you, don't move" Atem told him as he left, Yami waited patiently for them to arrive. Soon they came and Isis got to work. When she finished she had a face full of worry.

"What's wrong?" Atem asked worried 

"May I ask were was Yami yesterday?" Isis asked 

"At my private garden planting some flowers" Atem said confused

"Oh no...He got an infection. This infection can cause extremely damage and can cause death. I don't know what kind of flowers he planted but those flowers must be removed from the garden immediately!" Isis said

"Please tell my father this, I want to be here with Yami alone for a moment" Atem said, Isis nodded and went to tell the Pharaoh. Atem then went to a panting Yami and sat down next to him.

"Yami, I need to know what kind of flower you planted yesterday" Atem said

"It's called Cerbera Odollom, I saw it was beautiful and a villager gave it to me, she said it has a nice scent when it grew. I never new it could cause death." Yami said letting some tears fall, Atem wiped them away with his thumb and stroked his hair.

"Don't cry, it was not your fault, it was the women's fault. Do you recall what she looks like?" Atem told him

"She was a brunette, she had short hair, she was wearing a yellow tank top with a light pink vest and a hot pink short skirt" Yami replied

"Anzu" Atem said and growled, Anzu was a girl who would do anything to have him, but he didn't think she would kill HIS mate. 

"My prince, we're here to inform you that your father wishes to see you" One of the guards said 

"I do not wish to leave Yami's side" Atem said, but then felt tugging's on his tunic, he turned his head to face Yami.

"Go Atem, I'll try to manage until you come back" Yami said 

"Yami.., If something bad happens to you when I'm gone-" Atem started but was cut off by Yami putting his finger on his lips to shush him.

"Nothing bad will happen, just go" Yami said giving him a look that said 'I'll be alright', Atem nodded and went to see his father.

When he got there he saw his father sitting on the throne like he usually was. Atem walked up to him and bowed slightly.

"You wished to see me father?" Atem asked, and his Father nodded.

"Yes my son, I heard from Isis that this thing can kill your mate. I wanted to let you know this*sigh*...... we don't have cure at this moment. So it's a 50/50 chance that he will survive. Don't panic, we will all pray that Yami survives this." The Pharaoh said. Atem nodded sadly, he did not desire to see his mate dead, he did not want Yami to die, he wanted Yami to survive and rule with him as queen when he becomes Pharaoh. 

"Father, may I stay with Yami? At least until we know if he will die or not" Atem said sadly

"Of course my son, you can stay with him as long as you need. You may go now" The Pharaoh said, Atem then walked straight back to Yami to see him asleep. He hoped and prayed to the gods that his mate will survive this cause by Anzu.
