Spidey knows all of the Avengers, but Peter doesn't. The Avengers all know Spidey, but not Peter.
Wouldn't really matter, except for a small problem. He is, as of right now, trying to stay out of sight as all the Avengers sans Tony answer questions from the Decathlon team.
"Black Widow, how many ways can you kill someone with a pencil?" One courageous girl asks curiously.
"I know six, but I'd love to find more." Natasha says sweetly, and some of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes shudder.
She glances over at Peter and frowns, before looking away. She discreetly taps her head and Peter sees a flash of red.
Soon after, Wanda and Natasha look at each other and nod, confirming what they had said earlier.
Peter is nervous as hell, having a few suspicions of what they talked about, as well as he thinks they might recognise his voice, so he doesn't ask any questions. Damnit, Ned, why'd you have to be sick on the worst day of Peter's life.
Wanda then reminds them that there's only 10 minutes to go, and Natasha takes that as her cue.
"You, kid with brown hair and a science shirt," she said, looking right at Peter, who was wishing he had the ability to disappear, "do you have a question?"
Peter shakes his head nervously, before motioning to the class and saying "Mine were all asked already." he gulps. Natasha looks sceptical, and they answer a few more questions before moving to the next area of the tour.
The training room. Peter knows he's screwed now, especially when they ask for volunteers to spar. Flash, being and idiot, decides that this is the time to make a fool of himself and trying to fight one of them.
He is pinned to the ground in seconds, before Natasha gets off his back. A few more people try for the hell of it, and soon enough they run out of volunteers.
Natasha, however, is still curious. She points to Peter, and he gulps, trying to think of an excuse, but nothing comes up.
He slowly stands up, going out into the mat. He barely tries, and Natasha pins him in just under a minute. She looks at him sceptically, knowing he was holding back, and decides to mention it. "C'mon, full power, kid." She said, becoming him over once again.
He tries the tiniest bit harder, but looses in just over a minute.
"You're pretty good, kid. Not many can hold me off for even that long, let alone a high schooler." She says, watching his reaction. He pales ever so slightly, and she decides that he is definitely hiding something.
However, she has no time to test her theory, as the next bit in the training room was about to begin.
Natasha follows the class, but all the rest of the Avengers leave.
Lifting Thor's Hammer. Peter decides that he may as well try his hardest, even with superstrength, he thinks, it would be impossible to lift the hammer.
Everyone in the class has a go, no one succeeding, of course. Soon enough it gets to Peter, who is near the back of the line.
He takes a deep breath, before pulling on it slightly.
Everyone stares at him.
Shit.
He quickly puts the hammer back down and back away towards the rest of the class.
Natasha is done with this kids shit now, and calls him out towards the hammer.
She tries to pick it up, and it moves slightly to the left, surprising everyone including herself, before becoming for him to try.
