I walk out of the school along with a hundred other high schoolers. like a heard of elephants we walk down the long sidewalk leading to the parking lot where the school busses were.
As I walked I couldn't stop thinking about that dang arrow struck heart emoji. before I grabbed the rail to the bus entrance my phone vibrated in my pocket. I never grabbed for it until I got a seat on the left side (walking in) of the bus just before the fire escape window. that was my seat, I always sat there. I pulled my phone out of my pant pocket and saw that I got a text from a local number, the text said,
"Hey its Carter!(emoji)"
with an arrow struck heart emoji at the end. I felt so special because, like I said, I've never really talked or texted a boy before so it was a little weird.
"Hey Carter, I thought you were a creeper texting me lol"
"Sorry bout that lol"
"Thanks for telling me it was you tho"
"Np(emoji)"
WITH A WINKEY FACE EMOJI!!!!
He was even nice when he texted.
Falisity walked on to the bus and sat in the seat behind me, I peeked over the seat like a hippo in water.
"What's up with you?"
She added a laugh at the end. I got up to where she could see my face then said,
"so today I had an encounter..."
I started with that to see what she would say,
"Emma?"
She asked.
"Her too, but someone else,"
she stared at my face for a while with squinted eyes. I sat there smiling, waiting for her, most likely, ridiculous response,
"SHUT UP, IT WAS CARTER!!!!"
I dont know how she guessed right but she seemed to be more excited than I was, so we both started laughing,
"Yeah, I dropped my book and everything in the hallway, he helped me pick it up and then he asked for my number!"
Falisity spazed out in her seat like she was having a seizure. I started laughing even more.
"But what happened with Emma?"
"Well, I wanna say jealousy, but I think she just wanted to embarrass me a little because I got his number."
"How would she embarrass you?"
"I don't know, she just has that sound to where you just wanna start crying ya know. She just has a mean voice and it erritates me."
"Yeah, sorry bout that."
"Don't be, its all over now... we good."
I turned around in my seat because the bus started moving and I have REALLY bad motion sickness so I put my headphones in and turned on my old ipod to some Luke Bryan - Play It Again, in my opinion, best song ever!
But all that was in my mind was that dang arrow struck heart emoji.
