You didn't feel any pain at first. Jason started freaking out, of course.
"Holy shit.. holy shot holyshitomigodwegottagotthe-"

"Jason!" You yelled, snapping him out of it.
He stared at you, wide eyed. "We have time, I'm not in any pain yet. But you freaking out is freaking me out. Now get in the car." He nodded his head.
The drive was short, about 10-15 minutes and the pain was just faintly starting to make its appearance.
Once you arrived you were sent to triage for monitoring. You were hooked up to a fetal heart rate monitor, an ace bandage wrapped around your belly to keep it in place, and an IV placed in your arm. Jason sat in the chair next to you, shaking his leg and biting his thumb nail, staring at the screen.

"Jason, your leg is going to fall off if you don't knock it off." You say. He stops and smiles at you nervously.
"I'm sorry, doll. I'm just so anxious, why aren't we in a delivery room? Where's the doctor?"
You smile kindhearted at him.
"My contractions aren't strong enough or close enough fo- Oh!" You yelp and hold your stomach. "That was a big one." You felt your belly get softer after the contraction left you and you only had about 2 minutes of rest before another stronger one hit. "Oh shit!" You whisper yell. Jason is right on you, wiping your hair away from your face and telling you you'll be okay.

Labor was long and hard. You got an epidural at 5cm and got a bit loopy. Jason had said you should nap while you can and you said, "YOU take a nap." Then proceeded to fall asleep on and off for the next 8 hours. Finally, you felt the urge to push and the nurse said you could if you felt that strongly, so you did.

But something wasn't right. You pushed and pushed but no relief. No progress. Jason was holding your leg when the doctor showed up. "Okay, (y/n), you ready to have this baby!?" She had too much energy for your liking. But she was what you needed. She proceeded to do an episiotomy (look it up but be warned) to help the baby come out but it didn't help. Your IV went blue and suddenly you had an oxygen mask on your face. Jason was holding it there with tears in his eyes. "You'll be okay, baby, you'll be okay." He said, mostly to himself.
A team of 4 more nurses walked in. One held your arm but didn't tell you why. After delivery you found out it was to give you a new IV while you were pushing.
Eventually, it was determined that the baby was face up when they should be face down and they were coming in on an angle.
They needed to vacuum the baby out. If that didn't work, you'd need an emergency C-section and your epidural was starting to wear off at this point. You began to cry, as you'd been pushing for 3 hours with no reward.
"No crying. Crying is wasting your energy. Now you PUSH!" Your doctor yelled. And after two more pushes plus the vacuum, you heard a scream.
Your baby.
"Here is your beautiful baby boy!" The doctor put the baby directly on your chest and you cried like you've never cried before. Jason wrapped his arms around the two of you and sobbed. You knew you both loved this little boy with all your hearts but when you saw him it was as if your heart grew bigger just to create a special place for him. After a few minutes they took the baby to clean him off and run some tests. Jason kissed you while the two of you were alone.
"You are so strong. Thank you for giving me the life we have. I love you so much."
"I love you too, Jay." You smiled weakly, wiping your tears.
"I'm going to tell everyone he's finally here, I'll meet you in the recovery room"
You sighed in the empty room, when a nurse came in.
"Miss, can I get you anything?"
"A turkey sandwich with mustard and a cran-Apple juice, please."

It's 2am, I haven't written in a while and I literally just wrote MY birth story with my son because it's the only one I know. Some people have different deliveries, also sorry for the lack of dialogue, I'm exhausted. Hope you liked it!
