Icestrike
I woke up and yawned, looking up at the roof of the guardian's den. I walked out. Skiflight was training with father, outside of camp. Skystrider walked over to me. "Hi Icestrike." She said. I wish she knew how much I liked her... "Er.. Hi Skystrider.." I blushed slightly.Skystrider laughed. "Wanna go hunting?" "I would... but my father would just say 'that's not what a guardian would do son now go play fight.'" I said the last part with a goofy voice. Skystrider collapsed laughing. I joined her, laughing uncontrollably.
.+* Later at Camp *+.
I was lying down on a large, sun warmed rock with Skystrider. Father was talking with Skiflight. I felt bad for her. Father always talked to me for hours before training. And Skiflight was lying down awkwardly.
I remembered he sent out Willow to the Crystal Tree, and I saw her walk through the entrance of the camp, dragging her paws.
Father saw her. "We'll do training in a minute, Skiflight." He told Sister. Father jumped down from the Pack Stone and padded towards Willow. "Well?" He snapped. "Anything to say?"
Willow gulped. "T- there's a prophecy-" Father snarled. "Do you think I have any need for that Sky Pack's idiotic words?!" Willow shrank back before standing up to Father. "The Pack of the Stars is not idiotic, and their prophecies are important!" Willow snapped. "Maybe if you listened to me, you'd find the prophecy helpful for the lives of our Pack!"
"What do you think I care of the lives of other wolves?" Father dismissed Willow with a flick of his tail. I could tell Willow was disgusted. So was I. Not believing in the Pack of the Sky? "Well I'm leaving." Willow growled. "Why would you need a Healer anyways? You wouldn't listen to us. Besides, Autumn is fully trained."
Willow turned and left, knowing too well the wolves watching her leave. I was one of them. "Willow! Don't leave!" Autumn ran towards her, almost in tears. "I'm leaving, you can't stop me." Willow kept walking, trying not to turn again. She clenched her teeth and ran off.
"Willow!" Autumn cried out, trying to run to her. Me and Skystrider held her back. "Autumn.." I told her. "She's not going to come back. And I wouldn't want to abandon a Pack that needs an experienced Healer like you." Autumn stopped struggling at my words, but kept sobbing.
Father turned towards Skiflight. "She was useless anyways. Skiflight, Icestrike, come on."
Eel stepped up to the Pack Stone and started making hunting and border patrols. "Skystrider, Frost, go hunting at the Cloud Hollow near the Galaxy Pack border." They nodded and walked off. "Sand, go with Diamond and Emerald to find more scraps to make armor. Stone and Magma, go patrol the Fire Pack and Galaxy Pack border." The padded out of camp.Father, Skiflight and I went out to the Snow Rock. He was testing Skiflight, and I had to tag along. "What do you see, Skiflight?" "Uh.... Er.. There's a Galaxy Pa- There's a Galaxy Pack patrol heading towards the camp!" Skiflight yelped. Father growled, and then howled a warning to the Pack. We raced back to camp.
