[Matt's POV]

It was Saturday and I was bored senseless. I had literally nothing to do except play my video games for the 100th time today, no thank you. I'd tried listening to music but that got boring after a while. I tried reading. Boring.

Everything was boring.

Being home alone is the worst. There's nobody to annoy and nothing to do that would be fun. I decided my best option was to lay in bed staring at my ceiling contemplating my existence and hoping it sent me to sleep. I must've laid there for ages before my eyes started to droop and I felt like I was slowly fading out of existence.

~Time Skip~

I finally managed to drift off when I heard the front door of the house unlock and close with a loud bang. I sat up and started listening to see if I could tell who had walked in. Moments passed and I could hear the familiar voice of Charlie.

Sweet. Time to have some fun.

I swung my legs over the edge of the bed and ran downstairs to find her. I decided sneaking up on her and scaring her would be pretty funny so I gave it a shot. Quietly, I tiptoed through the living room and into the kitchen where Charlie was making herself food. "This is going to be perfect" I thought to myself.
I waited for her to turn around so I was out of her sight and made my move. I wrapped my arms around her waist and picked her up in one quick movement before carrying her upstairs and gently threw her onto the sofa in the spare bedroom, laughing the entire time.

Charlie: "Matt! What the fuck?!"

Matt: "nice to see you too Charles"

Charlie: "don't call me that."

Matt: "you normally don't mind when I call you it..."

Charlie: "well stop it. I don't like it."

Matt: "Sorry Charlie...hey is everything okay? You seem upset"

Charlie: "I'm fine."

Matt: "are you sure?"

Charlie: "......"

It was obvious that she wasn't okay. I walked over and hugged her tightly, making sure she had now way of running away from me to avoid telling me what's wrong. I can't have pissed her off that easily so it must've been something that happened earlier.
My best choice was to let her calm down before asking anything else. I didn't really fancy getting slapped by her, she fucking hurts when she hits you.

Charlie: "sorry for snapping, Ive just not had a good day at work.."

Matt: "it's okay don't worry, it was stupid of me to prank you like that but i was bored stiff"

I rubbed the back of my neck nervously and smiled at her innocently which earned me an insult from her.

Charlie: "you're such a fucking big kid Matt!"

Matt: "yeah but ya love me"

Charlie: "no you don't"

Matt: "I doooo"

Charlie: "then prove it!"

Matt: "okay how about me and you go to the cinema on a date?"

Charlie: "uh okay sure"

I smiled at her again, sat next to her on the sofa and started looking through the different movies that were being shown at the cinema. It must've been 9:45pm before I actually found a film that we both wanted to watch.

~Time Skip~

I pulled up in the car park outside the cinema and helped Charlie out of the car (ya know Cos I'm a gentleman) and we headed into the cinema.
We ordered the biggest bucket of popcorn that was possible and walked into the cinema to watch the new horror film 'The Nun'. I refused to watch a sappy romantic movie which wasn't that bad as Charlie hated them too. We found our seats and began watching the film.

Date nights at the cinema with Charlie are always the best.
