I started writing this book on October 5th, 2018. My reason to write this book is because I have a general fascination for Ocean Liners and their history. This book is a work of pure fiction, however based on three very, very real events with dramatic losses of life. The Titanic disaster cost around 1517 people their lives. The attack on the Lusitania cost nearly 1,200 people their lives. A stark contrast in the mystery surrounding the sinking of the Britannic, Titanic and Olympic's younger sister-ship, with the loss of 30 lives out of the 1066 people on board, mostly comprised of officers, nurses and doctors. Had wounded soldiers been on board, countless more could have been lost.
This story is based on true facts, but some of the characters are completely fictional.
