Team: Swampert, Machamp, Gardevoir, Manectric, Banette, and Latios

Now that you were the champion of the Hoenn region, you tended to go around and help people out. Sootopolis City needed help being rebuilt and you had the pokemon to help. You used Latios to fly to Sootopolis City where the destruction occurred a few months back. Wallace met you at his gym and you saw Archie standing beside him looking away.

"Why is he here?" You questioned a bit harsh. Archie looked up and he looked horrible. His fake was sunken in and it looked as if he hadn't slept. Even though he had his broad structure, he also looks like he has not ate much.

"Y/n, I have a question for you." Wallace said as you turned to Wallace who had his Milotic out and your Latios was talking with.

"What's up Wallace?" You asked as he smiled softly.

"Since you are here to help rebuild Sootopolis, would you help the community understand that Archie is here to help rebuild?" He asked as you took a step back.

"Wh-What? I think I misheard you." You said as Archie sighed.

"Look, I'm here to help because I regret what I did. I did not think that would destruct everything." Archie said as you turned your head.

"I still don't trust you. I'll help but only for you Wallace." You said as Wallace smiled and gave you a hug. You blushed and looked away missing that Archie was looking at you two with clenched fists. You did not know that, since you were the same age as both, that Archie began to fall for you especially when you two battled.

"That settles it!" Wallace announced. "You and Archie will work on the water damages in the houses."

"Fine. Let's go Archie." You said before letting your pokemon out. Archie let out his pokemon and before you took two steps, his Mightyana jumped on you and began licking your face. "Archie! Your Mightyana won't stop licking me!"

You were laughing and trying to push Mightyana away before Archie whistled and Mightyana returned to his side. You got up and brushed your shirt off before letting your pokemon follow you. All of your pokemon were watching him like a hawk besides Banette who was sitting on your shoulder. You walked to the first house and there was a mother and child.

"Are you here to help with the water damage Champion Y/n?" The mother asked as you nodded your head. "What's he doing here?"

"He's helping me." You said as she nodded her head and you guys went to the attic where water was seeping in. "Looks like this place is flooded up here. The damage is really bad."

You looked around and tried to step in it before the water level started to go to your knee. You pulled back quickly. As you pulled back, you tripped and started to fall backwards. You noticed strong arms wrapped around you to prevent you from falling. You looked up and Archie was looking down shocked.

"Are you okay Y/n?" He questioned as you nodded your head. "Good. Sharpedo help get water out of here by filling these buckets and giving them to Crobat."

"Machamp, get buckets of water prepared to give to Gardevoir and Latios who will take it outside." You ordered.

It took four hour for you and Archie to clear the houses. It was around 6 o'clock p.m. when you guys finished.

"Whew, I'm glad we finished." You said as Archie nodded. "Do you want to grab a bite to eat?"

"Sure. Are you sure you want to be seen with me?" Archie wondered.

"I think making the townsfolk trust you has made me trust you." You said as he grinned. "By the way, have you gotten any sleep?"

"Nightmares plague my head from the destruction and my admins left me." He said sadly.

"Including Shelly?" You questioned.

"Don't mention her. She dated me for the fame from the destruction then left. She never cared." Archie grumbled. You and Archie walked in silent to the restaurant near Wallace's gym. As you and him grabbed a table and ordered drinks, you noticed the air was thin.

"I'm sorry Archie. I didn't know how much pain you were in." You said as Archie looked up from the menu.

"It's fine. You didn't know that subject was rough." He sighed as you smiled softly. The waitress came back around.

"Now what can I get the lovely couple?" She said as your eyes widened and Archie spat water.

"We're not-"

"We're just-"

"That's not what your eyes say. Anyways, what can I get ya, Champ?" She asked. You both ordered your dishes quickly and as she walked away, the air went back to being thin. You looked out the window and saw that Wallace was walking in.

"I wonder what Wallace is doing here?" You thought aloud as Archie looked behind him.

"Champion Y/n! Thank you so much for helping with the town, along with you too Archie." Wallace said as he hugged you.

"Wallace, you know I like to help around." You said as he laughed. You didn't take notice Archie's clenched fists before he stood up abruptly.

"Archie?" You questioned as he walked out.

"To leave a girl with the bill." The waitress tutted.

"Just put our food to go and I'll pay. He seemed upset. I've got to go." You said quickly before grabbing your bag, food, and ran out. Archie couldn't have gotten far. "Banette, go find Archie. Manectric, stay by my side."

You walked around Sootopolis and got Swampert to take you around the water. You walked near Cave of Origin and saw Archie sitting down. You walked over slowly as Banette was floating above his head.

"You hungry?" You said as Archie jumped and he looked up. You saw that his eyes were wet but he was trying to hide it. "Arch?"

"Y/n, what did you think about what the waitress said?" Archie asked as you sat beside him.

"I was surprised but there might have been some truth to it." You said as Archie looked up.

"I thought Wallace-"

"Me and him aren't together." You said quickly. "He's a bit much."

You and Archie laughed before you both stopped and were looking into each other's eyes. His dark eyes were boring into your e/c eyes. You leaned in and met with his lips. His lips were rough and desperate. You kissed back in fervent passion.

"Does that answer your question?" You asked as Archie bellowed a laugh. You chuckled and you guys ate outside with Manectric laying in front of you and Banette stealing part of your food.

"I love you Y/n. Even when you stopped Team Aqua." Archie said as you smiled softly.

"I love you too Arch." You said as he kissed your temple. You continued to eat your food and started a new relationship with a water loving, strong man. Archie discovered that in his pool of fish that you were there with open arms.
