I was freaking out. How could he find me here? I moved countries for gods sake. He found me, he's staring at me, he knows where I am. I'm not safe anymore.

My first instinct was to run, so that's what I did. My lungs felt like they were on fire, my breath was coming in short, laboured rasps. I couldn't breathe so I slowed down, I started jogging, and I tripped. It's so strange how I am always so co-ordinated when I run, it's natural to me, but when I started to slow down I automatically get uncomfotable and unco. I feel so much better when I run, like it's what I was born to do. I was always faster than everyone else in school, so much faster, I just didn't want to show it, so most people think I'm the slowest thing ever to live. They're so wrong it usually makes me laugh.

I was on the ground, I whipped my head around when I heard running footsteps behind me. I stumbled up to my feet and stood with my fists out. Hah as if I'd have a shot fighting someone now, I suck at fighting, my only strong point is running. When someone veered around the corner, I tensed then relaxed, it was only Dean. He came with his hands up in a surrendering manner when he saw my fists, I sighed and put my hands down.

'Geez you've got some legs on you, don't ya?' he joked.

'thanks.' I replied with no trace of humour in my voice.

'Sorry, what happened back there anyway?'

Suddenly, his face filled my mind. He found me. I started trembling and shaking uncontrollably. Dean looked at me worridly and stepped over to me, my legs gave out underneath me. I braced myself for the hard ground rushing towards me but I never hit it, instead I hit a pair of strong arms. Deans to be exact. That was unusually fast reflexes. Strange.

'Woah, hey there, are you okay?' His voice filled with concern.

I didn't say anything, I just trembled and a couple of tears slipped my eye. All the memories came flooding back of him. Him hitting me whenever he saw me, looking for me when I ran. I couldn't get away. The only person I had told was my best friend, Danielle, when she brought me a ticket to Australia, I was the happiest I had ever been. She knew I had been saving for something, to make a break, I just hadn't been able to afford the ticket.

'We'll take you back to my place and calm down?' he suggested kindly.

I nodded.

'Are you right to walk, or run?'

'Run.' was all I said before jumping out of his arms and sprinting back the way we came.

While I was running, all I was thinking was scenarios about how he found me.

It just didn't seem real.
