4. Bed time

After we ate and showered,we started talking again.

"I think it's time to get to bed. Night Serena" Ash said and walked to his room.

"Night Ash." I mumbled.

When I went to bed I couldn't sleep,I don't know why but when I sleep at a new place for the first time I can't sleep. After a few hours of tossing and turning,I started to feel a bit hungry. I didn't want to wake up Ash so I slowly got out of bed and tip toed to the kitchen and made a sandwich,just as I finishing up with eating it,Ash walked in rubbing his eyes.

"Hey Serena,why are you up?"

"Can't sleep,you?"

"Heard something in the kitchen and thought someone was making food without me." I laughed at his statement,he also made a sandwich.

"You want to sleep in my bed with me?" He asked as he finished his sandwich.

"Really? Sure!"

After that we went to our beds. Well,his bed. We were just talking about what we wanna be in the future,and maybe just maybe something slipped out of my mouth,something like in the future we're gonna get married and have two kids. Luckily he didn't hear that.

In the morning when I woke up,my head was on a shirtless Ash. His chin on my head and his arm around my waist. I tried to move out of his grip but it tightened.

"Ash" Nothing

"Ash" Nope

"Ash!" He just groaned and turned his head down and put it in the crook of my neck.

"You talk in your sleep so I couldn't sleep,I was listening to what you were saying,oh and you said you have a crush on me." I could feel his smirk grow and my eyes widened.

"WHAT?!? I DID?!?" I yelled,nearly falling off the side of the bed.

"No." He mumbled and chuckled. I let out a breath of relief. "Now let go,I need to go to the bathroom." I said tapping his hand which was still wrapped around my waist. He let go and I got out of bed and rejected it immediately. It was so cold outside the warm bed.

I went to the bathroom and did my business.

When I got out there was a girl talking to Ash. She had a very light shade of yellow hair that stopped at her waist,she wore a white dress and the bottom of it had a sky blue colour.

Ash noticed me and smiled.

"Serena! Hey." He greeted. I just waved and walked over to him.

"Serena this is Lily. Lily this is Serena. Lily and I go to school together."he explained.

I first thought of saying,Oh thank the Lords, for a minute there I thought you guys were dating. But I ended up saying. "Okay"

"Lily I must say,I love your dress." I said,her dress was truly beautiful.

"Why thank you Serena."She replied.

Ash and I decided to take a nice walk on the beach. Just the two of us. No pokèmon. No other people. Just Ash and I. Im totally not fangirling right now. Thats a lie.

"I really missed you. Things weren't the same without you Serena."Ash said,breaking the silence. I looked down,letting my hair drop down to cover my face so he couldn't see me blushing.

"I missed you too Ash." I said.

"Can I ask you a question? Actually don't answer that. Im gonna ask it anyway. Why did you kiss me?" He asked.

How does he remember that?

"Um..you know..I didn't....want to..leave without a goodbye kiss. My family does that when we know we might not see someone for a while so I had to kiss you?" I said more of a question. I actually really just wanted to kiss him.

He didn't seem to believe me.

"Oh whatever!" I said,throwing my arms in the air. Then I did the last thing I never thought I'd do again.

I grabbed the bottom of his shirt,pulled him down to me and kissed him. I wrapped my arms around his neck,so he didn't leave. It took him a while to return the kiss but he soon did. Wrapping his arms around my waist to pull me closer then I was. If that's even possible.

We both pulled away for air. We unwrapped ourselves,both of our cheeks painted a deep red.

"What was that?" Ash asked,his eyes wide.

"I don't know." I said,covering my faces with my hair again.

The rest of the walk was awkward. We hardly spoke,until Ash fell face first and ate a mouth full of sand.

Flash back (like 20 minutes)

Ash and I were just awkwardly walking. His hands in his pockets. I was walking next to him,my hands behind my back.

It was awkward. Very awkward...

I was about to say something when suddenly Ash tripped. He landed face first.

"OH MY GOSH! Ash are you okay?!?!"  He got up and wiped his hand down his face to get rid of sand.

"Im fine. Just ate a bit of sand but that's okay" he reassured.

"Are you sure? How did you trip? " I asked

"Yes I'm fine. I might of tripped over my foot. Guess I got distracted by my thoughts." He explained.

"Oh"

End of flashback

And now we're just sitting here,on the beach,watching the waves run to the sea and then go back to the ocean.  The salty smell of the ocean. The blue water. The sound of waves crashing together. It's just so relaxing.

I look over to Ash and his already staring at me. He has a small smile,but big enough to see.

"You know,your really pretty. Actually your beautiful. Wouldn't be surprised if you had a boyfriend." He says. I drop my hair to cover my faces again.

"Actually,I don't have a boyfriend. Only a crush."

"A crush? On who? Why didn't you tell me?"

"Oh. You know it's that guy. That guy. You know, Steve?" I cover.

"I don't know anyone named Steve."

"Uhh...um...what about you? Do you have a girlfriend? Or a crush?" I asked,wishing he would say he didn't have a girlfriend yet a crush on me.

"None. Im staying low for now." He says. A wave of disappointment yet relief flows through me.

He doesn't have a girlfriend.

He doesn't like you though.

He'll learn to.

No he won't.

Whatever.
