It isn't like that"If only we knew who the stranger was," Amal complained, throwing her hijab into one of her drawers.
"Well, it wouldn't do much. He'd probably lead to another dead end." I replied. Amal rolled her eyes, "Guys! If Sierra trusted this guy enough to cheat on her husband and break up with Henry, then I'm sure shes told him about why she believed in jinn!" Amal exclaimed, throwing her arms in the air.
"Or, she was just a player."
"But still, it's not like we could find him," I told her, ignoring Olivia's comment. Amal, however, couldn't seem to ignore it. She glared at her, annoyed by the fact that Olivia wasn't taking this as seriously.
"Um... it's been a long day." I said, interrupting the intense glares they were giving each other. I picked up my bag from her bed and wore it over my shoulder. Prepared to leave, I gave Olivia a nod.
"Are you girls sure you don't want anything to drink? Water, cocktail, and we even got Vimto." She asked, disappointed by the fact that we couldn't stay here for dinner. When her sweet mother saw us drop off Amal, she lit up with happiness once she thought Amal was bringing us for dinner. When we told her we needed to go home, she told us that we should at least come inside and rest. And since my mother knew her mother, she was ready to explain why I came in late if she ever got mad.
"Vimto?" Olivia asked, giggling at the strange name.
"It's a drink," I explained.
"Yeah, but of all the names why Vimto?" She questioned.
"Olivia.." I glared.
"Fine!" She surrenders, "Vimto is a wonderful name, happy?"
"Very."
"We better get going," I told Amal, as I walked over to her, to give her a hug. When I let go, Amal led us to the front door, where we said our goodbyes. Luckily, her mother was busy cooking dinner so she never saw us leaving.
Knowing her, She was probably trying to speed up dinner so she could persuade us to stay.

"Ruqaya?" Olivia called, just before I climbed up the few stairs of our porch. I turned to meet her eyes, my body automatically following behind.
I had expected her to drive out of sight immediately, but what shocked me more was finding her, fidgeting in her seat.
"Yeah?"
It took her a while, but Eventually, she gathered her courage and looked up from her fingers. "I just want you to know that I'm grateful for you being by my side. What I mean is.. It's nice having you around."
"Yeah..." I nodded awkwardly.
I was about to turn back, but a thought dragged my attention back to her, "Oh, and Olivia," I began. "If I had to spend a lifetime being the wife of my high school crush, I would have killed myself by now. So, I don't blame your grandmother."
"But it does not mean I'm not judging her right now." She replied.
"Olivia," I whined, "We still don't know the full story, so lighten up!"
