As Lee looks around and talks to a few of the new people, you walk over to Clem, who was looking down at his walkie-talkie. "Hi." You greeted as you walk up to him. He looks up at you from his walkie-talkie and you could see a small smile on his face. "Hi." He greeted, alittle shyly.
"I'm (y/n)." You said to him. "Clement." Clem replied just as Lee walks up to you two. "It's not much but, here you go, Clem." He said as he hands an energy bar to the young boy. "Thank you." Clem said to him. "Of course." Lee said then he hands you another bar. "Here you go." He said and you smile as you take the bar. "Thank you, sir." You said and Lee nods at you as he walks away and checks on everyone else.
"Is that your dad?" You asked Clem, pointing at Lee. Clem shakes his head and said. "No, my parents are in Savannah. He's just looking after me til we find them."
"Oh." You said. "What about you? Where's your dad?" Clem asked you. You frown a bit before saying. "My Mom said Dad left her before I was born. So....I don't know."
"Oh....I'm sorry." Clem said just as he looks over and sees Lee walking into a room. Both of you watch him enter and the two of you follow him into the room.
The room looked disheveled and almost like someone bordered up the room. There was a sleeping bag in the middle of the room that was covered in blood. Lee walks closer to the sleeping bag and picks something off of the floor and looks at it.
It was a photo of his family. He smiles at it for a moment but frowns in sadness as he rips himself off of the picture that way he would only have the picture of his mom, dad and brother. "Find anything?" Carley asked Lee after she enters the room.
Lee jumps in fright before he turns around to face her. "It's a photo of the family who owned this place. It might help us track down the keys to the office." Lee replied to her.
"I know who you are." Carley said as Lee raises his eyebrow at her. "You're Lee Everett. You're a professor at Athens who killed a State Senator who was sleeping with your wife. This is your parent's store; folks around town know the owners son got himself a life sentence, but I'm a reporter for WABE in Atlanta." She replied as you and Clem look between the two adults in shock.
"I paid attention to that trial. Maybe you're a murderer. But I don't really care. Frankly, that's a skill that might come in handy. Did you tell anyone out there who you were, or that you were tied to this place?" She asked. "No. I've been sticking to first names for a reason." Lee replied to her.
"You seem like an ok guy; and the last thing we need is drama out there. You've got this little boy to take care of, and....look don't make me wrong on this." said Carley. "I don't plan to." Lee said as he walks closer to her.
"Good, because if this lasts longer than a few days and you're a detriment to the group, then we'd have a problem." Carley warned. "I hear you." said Lee. "I'll just keep it to myself." She said. "How can I trust you?" Lee asked, suspiciously. "You can't, I suppose. But you don't have many other options." She said with a smile.
She turns around and starts to head to the door before she turns to you. "You want to come with me or do you want to stay here?" She asked you. You look up at your mother then over at Clem before you spoke to her. "I...I'll stay here. Maybe I can help." Carley smiles at you before she kneels down and said. "That's my girl." And she hugs you before she looks back over at Lee.
"This is my daughter, (y/n). I'm trusting you to keep an eye on her, okay?" She said. Lee nods at her as Carley looks back at you and said. "You be a good girl." You nod as she stands up and leaves the room.
Lee turns back around and moves some stuff off of the desk when a cane falls on the floor. He bends down and picks it up as Clem asks. "What's that?" Lee looks down at him and said. "This was my dad's cane. He'd zip around here on it from time to time."
