The alarm goes off right next to my ear leaving them ringing. I sit up shaking off the last bits of sleep that was left over. I plop back down and roll over. Sadly I forgot that I sleep at the edge and fall off entangled in the blankets. I look up as soon as I hear snickering in the doorway. I see my best friend Caleb trying not to laugh, but miserably failing. I glare at him as he leans on the door frame. His broad shoulders taking up most of the doorway. His short black hair was messy and his emerald green eyes gleaned with mischief.
"What are you looking at," I say defensively.
"A mess," he responded. I chuckle and he takes that as a good note to come in and help me up. He grabs my hands and jerks up so fast that he has to catch me. As I stand in his arms he whispers "What do you want for breakfast Ash~?" He holds the 'sh' for and good bit of time. Kinda like a librarian who is ready to retire.
Playing along I grab his face and bring it close and say "Scrabled eggs with cheese and a nice cup of orange juice por favor." I let go of his face and gently push him away from me. I look at him with a smirk and realize that he is blushing.
"Damn Ash, you know how to play with a man's feelings," as he speaks he moves his hand to his heart like he was generally hurt. I giggle.
"Awe, I'm sorry that I hurt you manhood, now get out so I can change." He puts his hands up in defeat and slowly walks out the room. I close the door and swiftly go change into my uniform. It is a white button up with a navy blue blazer and a navy blue pleaded skirt. If you are a guy then you get plain khakis. I throw my chestnut brown hair in a quick messy bun and put on some mascara to help my dull, grey eyes pop.
I walk in to the kitchen to see Caleb dancing and singing along to one of my favorite songs '3 night's' by Dominic Fike. So naturally I join in and sing along. Luckily he is smart enough to watch the eggs or else they would have burned.
Once we are done with breakfast we go to our respective bathrooms and brush our teeth.
"Ash, let's go we are going to be late," he yells from the door. I quickly grab my bookbag and slip on my white vans. I run to the door and trip. Caleb catches me. I look up with a small pout drawn on my lips. He laughs.
"It's not that funny, geez," I say. "Lets go we're going to be late." I mock him. He sighs and opens the door.
                                       ....
After a car ride full of pop songs from the 2000's and Caleb mocking me, we finally make it to school. Caleb gets out of the car and races over to my side as fast as possible. I shake my head as I see him almost trip. He opens my door and holds out his hand to help me out. I grab it and he slowly helps me out.
"You know that I am capable of opening and getting out of a door by myself, right?"
"Umm the last time you did that you landed on your face." He smirked and I shot him a bird. That got a quick bark out of him. I walk off as quickly as I could. Sadly I counldnt get far enough cause I'm short (5'4) as heck and he is like a giant (6'2).  He catches up in like two steps. I roll my eyes.
"Are you trying to run away from me," he asks sounding hurt. I look over at him to see a small smirk painted on his lips.
"Yes I am," I play along I sound just as hurt. I look into his eyes. They were really green today. Like REALLY green.
Just as I was about to say something, something pushes me. I look up to see Kylie all over Caleb. Caleb looks down at me and I could see the worry in his face. He reaches out and I grab on. Kylie quickly looks at me.
"Oops, sorry didn't see you there," she said with false sympathy. Good lord she is like a classic bully. Caleb prys himself away from her to help me up.
"Then get some glasses," I respond. Her face twists in disgust and she walk forward cornering me against the lockers. Caleb was smart enough to back away and let me handle this.
"Don't get smart with me just because your rich, you don't know what I can do," she said in a whisper as she slammed her hands on the locker that was between Caleb and I. I start to chuckle, and the look on face got more and more twisted. She reaches up to slap me then I grab her hand and chop her elbow. I spinned around and her head hit the locker.
"No you don't know what I can do. Why don't you and your friends leave me alone." She started to cry I let go and walk away.
I walk to my locker with Caleb in silence. I look over at him to see him trying to think of something to say. I giggle and he looks at me in confusion.
"What, do I have something on my face?" His left eyebrow raised and he started to smile again. I sigh in relief. Every time something like that happens he always blames himself.
"What's wrong," he stops me and pulls me by my elbow to a quiet spot in the hallways. His eyes were peering at me with concern. His eyes....
"Nothing," I quickly lie. I'm to tired to tell the truth and it is just 8 o'clock in the morning.
"Your lying to me," he is quick to point out.
I sigh again. "I'm just not in the mood to talk right now, I'm sorry."
"No, it's fine I understand." He gets this look on his face. Disappointment..? No. He is just thinking.
"Oh God what are you thinking?"
"About how we are going to spend the entire day together." He smiled that heartmelting smile.
"Yea, after your first two classes." The bell rang ending the argument.
"Alright fine let me at least walk you class to your classes together until lunch and then we spend the entire rest of the day together?"
"Fine," I say as I giggle.
"Yes," he said as he jumped up in celebration. I shake my head as we make our way to my first class, Forensics. Sadly I had that class with Kylie.
