Kylie was the typical prom queen, the only thing that didn't make the look complete was her looks. She had long, straight, and black hair. Her eyes were Brown, but like the really pretty brown.
She sat in front of the classroom with her friends, who really didn't like me either. Caleb had already left which means I have to get harassed with threats again. I take a deep breath and let it out in the form of a sigh. I open the door and walk to my seat in the back near the window.i look up and there stands Kylie.
"Well if it's High Praises' little princess, what did you think you were doing earlier?" She scoffs.
"I'm done dealing with your crap, Kylie," I roll my eyes. I can see she is starting to get frustrated, whoops.
"Well she starts I'm not going to leave you alone until you leave Caleb alone, so," she crossed her arms and shifted her weight to one hip. A small smile of victory played upon her lips. I stand and lean not the desk to where I'm only a couple inches away from her face.
"Well then I think we better get cozy because I'm not leaving him for anything or anyone, you got that."
"That's fine that means I have a new punching bag." I snarl and nearly grabbed her but then the teacher walked in and she walking away. I growl quietly. I sit back down and everything was like that never even happened.
....
After that he'll I got a fre e period so I went to the gym and ran. Caleb has gym for second I wouldn't mind seeing him right now honestly.
I walk into the locker room and run into a bathroom so no one can see the bruises from yesterday. God that is the last thing I need right now.
I walk out of the stall and throw my stuff in my locker and quickly walk of of the locker room. I run to the track and start to stretch. I was doing 'the toe touch' stretch , when someone grabs my side and naturally I swing. I have to admkt that was a perfect right hook, sadly it was a right hook straight to his nose and he stumbles back a few steps. I just punch the quarter back. Everyone gasped.
"Umm, I'm sorry Luke I didn't mean to," I say trying not to be awkward. He looks up in disbelief. His nose was crooked and bleeding."I thought you were Caleb, and normally he knows to block I just." I start to stumble over my words and all together just stop talking.
"You are coming with me to the nurses office," Luke said quickly. I nod and everyone watched us leave.
We walk in silence and when we get to the nurses office I have to explain everything. The nurse sets his nose back and stops the bleeding. The nurse tells us to be more careful and leaves for her lunch break.
"How the hell are you so strong," he asks to break the silence.
"Well, there was a tragic event and the a workout montage. And then I become Sylvester Stallone then ta~da," I say. He laughs. That helps me relax. I let off a quiet sigh.
I have a question," I start. He looks at me giving me his undivided attention. "Why did you even grab me?"
"On a dare," he scratches his head. "My buddies thought it might be fun to mess with your emo time and well since I use to have a pretty face, they dared me. If I knew you could literally kill me with a pretty solid right hook, I wouldn't have. I should be the one apologizing not you." He shrugs and I laugh.
Suddenly a very worried Caleb bursts through the door. Looks like I'm in trouble. He looks at Luke and then at me. He clears his throat. His smile returns and his green eyes start to sparkle again.
"Well well well, looks like my little luky puky got the shit knocked out of him," Caleb walks up to Luke and ruffles his sandy blond hair. I look at Luke real quick to see a flash of irritation in his brown eyes. It doesn't diassapear when Caleb walks over to me and puts his arm around me.
He leans down and whispers in my ear "I was worried for a second." I roll my eyes and push him off of me. Luke continued to glare at Caleb.
"So is she just like all the other girls? Wrapped around your finger?" Luke asks Caleb. Caleb laughs.
"Oh no, your not jealous are you," his sarcasm was strong. This is no good.
"As if," I scoff trying to break tension. Luke and Caleb look at me. "I'm not wrapped around any finger, so you both can stop." Luke let's out a quiet sigh of relief and Caleb gave me a confused look. I boop his nose.
"Oh Caleb we are getting out at lunch today."
"Jesus that stupid schedule, do you ever get a break."
"Yea i was on one before you came bursting in here," I smile at Luke, trying to make him feel better. I see a small smile be fire I hop up. "Alrighty my dudes, I'm going to change so I'm not late to my next class and I suggest the same for y'all," I say while stretching.
"Yea let me walk you there," they say at the same time. They start to glare at each other.
"Hmmmm, only if you guys can get along," I say in a sing songy voice. They both sigh and say fine.
...
That was the most awkward walk I have ever experienced, in like the history of awkward. I wave at them and walk in the locker room.
"You are such a slut," Kylie says as she stand in the middle of the locker room with no shirt on.
"Your in my way Kylie," I say as I softly shoved her with my shoulder.
"How did you do it," Kylie asks.
"Do what?"
"You got those two wrapped around your tiny, nasty finger, how did you do it?"
" maybe it was because I wasn't a complete bitch when they met me." I grabbed my clothes and walk into one of the stalls. I put on deoderent and quickly change back into my school uniform.
"Well it's not fair?" Kylie said pouting.
"For heaven sakes Kylie," I roll my eyes. "Get over yourself." I walk out and try to leave it at that. Little did I know they both wanted to walk me to lunch. I breath in deeply. I throw my bookbag over my shoulders and walk without even acknowledging them. Luke looked really confused and Caleb was the first one to break the ice.
"Kylie?"
"Kylie," I growl. My phone suddenly buzzes.
On my way you and Caleb get ready
I show Caleb my phone and he quickly pump his fist in the air. K shake my head and start to smile a bit.
"You know what that means, right," he asks
"Yup," I reply.
"Chick-fricken-fila," we say at the same time. We laugh and I look over at Luke. He look sad and uncomfortable.
"Hey, thanks for hanging out with me today," I gave him one of my best smiles. He smiled back. His eyes had this look. Something dark.
We drop Luke off at lunch, and Caleb and I make our way up to the front office.
