There are two thing I'm aware of. One, I'm lying on a lumpy mattress that radiates with the scent of cat piss. Two, there are unfamiliar people in my room. I open my eyes to slits, just enough to peek at where I am. An extremely attractive boy stands above me with a few others. His grey eyes spark to life as he talks and he runs his long,pianist-looking fingers through his messy brown hair. He's wearing an odd looking yellow and black outfit. Weird. Next to him is another startlingly beautiful boy. His black hair and blue eyes would make many girls swoon. He has some sick tattoos all over his body. Sweet, maybe he was dauntless too. And lastly, a girl with luscious blonde hair and bronze eyes. She is wearing a dress that looks ancient; it's a full velvet white gown. Her eyes are furrowed in a permanent glare. Lovely. They're all talking in hushed tones. Wait. Where am I? Is Tobias okay? I begin to sit up but the bed springs creak under my weight. All three of them turn their heads to look at me.
"Glad you're awake," grey-eye-wierd-shirt says. I swing my legs over the side of the bed and begin to stand.
"What's your name?" The voice is deep, rough, and raspy. I'm guessing it's blue eyed boy.
"My names Tris Prior. Where am I?" At my last words they all shuffle uncomfortably. The blonde girl huffs out annoyance and speaks.
"You're in the afterlife. You died when David shot you." Her words send memories crashing down like a bucket of ice water. The death serum. The code. Tobias. At the thought of his name my eyes well up with tears. I blink them away before they can say anything. All I want is to be alone right now.
"My names Cedric. Cedric Diggory," the grey eyed boy says. Oh, that's his name.
"I'm Will Herondale and this is Jessamine Lovelace. And unfortunately this is your new home and you'll be stuck looking at the beautiful me for the rest of eternity. Enjoy your stay." Yeah, I'm leaving. I begin to walk towards the door when I almost bump into someone.
"Watch where you're-," I begin. But then realization dawns on me.
"Tris," a surprised voice asks.
"Will," I squeak.
