From across they courtyard, my eyes fell on to her. "Galinda Upland..." I thought to myself. Who didn't know her? I turned so I would not get caught staring. But who wasn't staring at her? She looked so glorious. "Oh Father! Jeweled shoes???" I heard Nessarose say. "You shouldn't of!" I smiled at my dear sister. My father did too. "Alright, my dear. I will be going. Have fun. And Elphaba, try not to... talk too much." I frowned slightly and thought, "I never want to disappoint you... I am sorry Dad." "Oh Elphaba..." Nessa said softly. "What could he get me? I clash with everything!"

I turned around to see a white haired woman, a bit on the heavy side. She opened her mouth and out came a loud voice. "Welcome! Welcome new students! I am the head mistress, Madame Morrible here at Shiz University." Madame Morrible continued to speak. Galinda opened her mouth and I pay attention to what she was going to say. "I have already been assigned a private suite. Anyone can come visit whenever they want!" What were the chances she would let me visit her? She did say anyone. Galinda then started talking to her two friends and I ignored them as I gazed at her. She began to speak again. All I caught was that she applied to the Sorcery Seminar. I told Madame Morrible as she was  facing Galinda that we had not received room assignments. A few seconds later I heard a scream. Why was there one? She saw me.
