"Always remember to write the date on these stickers so we know when was the batter made," Yoongi explains as he puts away the premade dough.
It has been a week since you've started working at Kim's Bakery. You've already been accustomed to work in the register and as a server. Since you're a fast learner, you're scheduled for basic training in the kitchen. You don't mind at all. Getting to know Yoongi's soft side has been a joyride.
"Did you catch that, Little Lady?" Yoongi asks looking up from his task.
"Yes, Yoongi-Oppa," you respond with a small grin.
Yoongi stops his tracks and looks directly at your eyes. His gazes softens to say, "Oppa makes me feel old. Please call me Suga."
You smile back to him once more. "Mr. Jung was right about you being sweet as sugar."
"Don't push it, Little Lady," Suga chuckles. "Can you do me a favor and search for the box of food coloring in our pantry?"
"Sure." You head to your right and search for the box Suga had asked you to acquire. You take out a couple of boxes and set them on the nearest counter for you to open and search.
You recall your last meeting with Mr. Kim. Unfortunately, the last time you saw him was the same day you met him. Most of your coworkers say the same thing: he's busy. 'What could possibly occupy his time,' you wonder.
"Little Lady, I know it's payday, but that doesn't mean you can daydream on the clock," Suga breaks you from your thoughts.
"I'm really sorry," you say trying to hide your blush.
"It's okay. I underestimated how tall you are." Suga walks in front of the cabinet and reaches for the highest box on the shelf. While you mindlessly spent minutes searching boxes of your reach, Suga finds the box of food coloring in seconds.
"Are you serious?" You nag.
"Don't worry, Jimin can barely reach it," Suga jokes.
Both of you reunite in the counter. You're awful curious about how much does Suga knows about Mr. Kim. You begin to make small-talk conversations to pry out any sort of new information about Mr. Kim.
"Who else can reach those boxes?" You ask innocently.
Suga looks dumbfounded, as if unamused of your question. "Everyone."
"You mean Taehyung, Jungkook, Mr. Jung?"
"Yes," Suga deadpans.
"What about Mr. Kim Namjoon... and Kim Seokjin?"
Suga then realizes your odd behavior. He then returns his gaze back to his task and says, "You want to talk about Kim Seokjin."
Your eyes widen. You imagine the worst if Suga finds out your slight interest in Mr. Kim. "Why would I?" You try to seem casual.
"Kim Seokjin has owned this bakery for nearly 5 years. His father passed down his ownership to Seokjin. Since Seokjin has another job, he shared his ownership with his dear friend Kim Namjoon, who funnily enough is also Kim. He is single despite the ring he wears."
"You didn't need to say all of that," somewhat true, but it is exactly what you wanted to hear.
"I noticed your eyes sparkled when you said his name." You stood silent. The worst thing could happen is if your secret roams around the building. Suga notices your silence and saddened expression. "I promise your secret is safe with me," he reassures.
You huff out your relief. Taehyung enters the kitchen and stands next to you and asks, "Do you think Jimin flirts a lot?"
"Where are you going with this?" Suga sighs.
