8:13a.m.

The bus drops you off two hours before the designated time Hoseok gave you. Nevertheless, there was no other time the bus could make this stop.

You walk all the way to the street where the bakery is. As mentioned before, the tranquil lake lies to your left. You sit on a bench nearby the lake taking in the calm atmosphere.

Your economic troubles grew over time. You tried your best to make ends meet; unfortunately, your student loans and bills did not allow you to. The less money you had, the less essential items were invested for your daily basis, such as food, medication, clothes, etc.

Mr. Pabo wasn't helpful either. Overtime, he lessened your hours of work. Not that your work ethics proved ineffectual, but rather he preferred someone who granted his desires.

"You're here early," a figure with a familiar voice stops your train of thoughts. You look back and see Hoseok walking up to you.

"I wouldn't want to be late on the first day," you say while smiling shyly.

"I see," he takes a seat next to you. "With all the ruckus Jimin and Taehyung made yesterday, I never caught your name."

"My name is Y/N. You're Hoseok, right?"

"I would prefer you to address me as Mr. Jung. It's nice to properly meet you." Mr. Jung extends his arm. You shake his hand while glancing up at his serious expression. "Tell me more about yourself."

"I studied at the University of South Korea. While I studied, I worked as a cashier at a grocery store. After I finished my degree on Secretarial studies, I applied for Seoul Incorporation. I have been working for this company around three years."

"Seoul Incorporation?" Mr. Jung raises a brow. "How come you need another job?"

"Well, because secretaries aren't as efficient as a computer. I don't get scheduled work as much hours as I need," you admit.

"I am sorry to hear. I am also sorry that I bring this up again, but remember that I cannot promise you a job at the bakery. It is not up to me, but rather the owner of the bakery."

"Don't worry. I understand completely. I appreciate so much what you are doing already."

Mr. Jung grins at your response. "Let's go inside the bakery to give you an idea on how things function in Kim's bakery."

The two of you walk down to the bakery. Mr. Jung takes out his keychain and looks for one in particular. He selects a golden key and moves it toward the keyhole. He unlocks and opens the door wide open, allowing you to enter the building first.

Inside the bakery, you notice the lightly tan walls, vivid artwork hung around the building, a set of couches placed next to the windows, and round tables with cotton materialled chairs aligning all the way to the cash register.

"Welcome home," Mr. Jung grins as you observe the place. "Come. I'll show you where you're likely to work." You follow Mr. Jung behind the register. "This is the cash register, but if I'm being honest, it is Jimin's register. Most of the time, he's our cashier. He doesn't work all our shifts, so it'll be helpful to have you around operating the register."

You give the cash register a skeptical look. "I don't know how to use one."

"Don't worry, we'll show you. Other than the register, you can work next to Jimin by serving people their orders. When it gets busy, Jimin's head blurs, so you'll be able to help him stay focused as you get rid of the line by serving customers their order."
