Marissa quietly snuck behind a hanging tapestry, managing to hear every agonizing word the King said to her sister. Marissa couldn't believe her ears. That is a horrible choice. Obviously, her sister is going to choose to live in Ami, the "perfect" city. Marissa began to quietly cry. Why does everyone she loves go away?
"I choose..." I gulp nervously. I am never going to see my sister again. "I...Sir, I choose to be with my sister."
"Hmm, it is a pity. Such a waste of life."
"Sir, what...what do you mean?"
"Well, I obviously can't have two people with the secrets of Mal running amok. It will be so much easier if I just kill the both of you. Guards?"
Marissa screams, and runs out, starting to punch and kick the king as hard as she can. Dimly, she felt that people were grabbing her, restraining her. Then, she heard Alli screaming.
Suddenly, my twin ran out of the closet and started to attack the King.
"Marissa?!" I squeak. A battalion of soldiers ran in, and started pulling her away from the King. He pointed at me, and squeaked, "Kill her."
Marissa went frantic, trying to escape the cage of people surrounding her. She had to get to her sister, she had to! Suddenly, Alli stopped screaming. Marissa fought even more frantically to reach her sister. When she finally escaped, Marissa's heart stopped.
Alli staggered, trying to rip the sword out of her stomach. Blood stained her clothes, and continued to pour out of her abdomen.
"Ma...Marissa?" she murmured. Marissa ran, and grabbed her twin before she fell to the floor. Marissa gently laid Alli onto the ground.
"I'm...sorry you had a horrible life, Marissa," Alli whispered.
"It's not...your fault," Marissa told Alli. "Don't...don't die on me, Alli. Please, don't leave me..." A single tear streaked down Marissa's cheek. It dripped onto Alli's cheek.
"Marissa..." Alli whispered as she focused onto Marissa's vivid green orbs, and died.
Marissa's cry of anguish bellowed from her throat. Angrily, Marissa grabbed a sword from the nearest guard, and ran towards the tyrannical King. She shoved it into his neck at the same time another guard beheaded her.
Marissa woke up, bleary eyed. She was in a white, spotless room. Her first thought was that she was in Ami. Then, Alli walked in.
"Alli!!!!!!!!" Marissa screamed as she hugged her sister. Then, she felt something funny on Alli's back. It was soft and feathery. It was a wing...
Alli smiled sweetly, and said, "You did a good deed, freeing Vit from the tyrannical rule of the King. Now, you get to live in heaven."
Alli linked arms with Marissa, and they stepped out of the room, ready to never be separated again.
