I fumbled with keys in my left hand and stuck them into the keyhole before turning them clockwise all the way upon hearing a little click sound, signaling that the door was now unlocked. Pushing the door handle down, I stumbled into the house, my suitcase behind. I took a look at the familiar surroundings and the new furniture that was already set in place, I guess I won't have to worry about sleeping bags.
I only came to this house once and that was when I was looking for a house. I remember that I fell asleep during the car ride so I completely forgot what the street looks like.
With great difficulty, I finally dragged my heavy suitcase to the second floor to where my bedroom was and then plopped down on my bed sighing, enjoying the fascinating view of my white ceiling.
"Ok Lee Hana, what do you do now?" I asked myself "Well you can start by unpacking your suitcase."
I looked over to the big suitcase lying on the floor.
"Eh, too boring." I averted my gaze to my window where the tall trees shaded the ground beneath them.
"You could explore the forest." I suggested to myself.
When I finally made my decision to go into the forest I dug around in my suitcase for a change of clothes. I decided on a t-shirt and shorts. Since I was going into the forest, I decided on putting on my black timberlands so I wouldn't mess up any of my other shoes.
I step out of the house, phone in hand. As I lock the door I hear a distant chatter. I turn around to find 5 teens talking amongst each other. Usually in movies, this is where the protagonist is confronted by judgy teenagers and just walks away. Yeah no.
Walking closer to the group I noticed that they were also walking closer to me.
"Got a problem?" I ask with the best attitude that I could muster.
They chuckled as the leader-looking-one stepped in front of them "Yeah, we do."
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah."
I was slowly becoming annoyed with these people, they're younger than me yet they have no respect whatsoever.
"You're little house here was going to be bulldozed by my dad's company, now that you've moved in he's plans been ruined and I- um- he lost a big amount of money."
I nodded understanding the situation.
"Well I have a problem too." I said.
The guy that was talking to me turned back and laughed mockingly with his friends.
"Your existence."
All of the bullies' eyes fired up as the leader edged towards me fist raised, aiming a punch at my face.
"Oh I see," He half shouted "you wanna get your pretty face messed right!?"
"Aww I'm flattered that you think I'm pretty." I say putting a hand on my chest pretending to be grateful.
I was getting ready to dodge the force contact with his fist and my face, but a hand held his fist back. We all turned around to find a girl covered in black clothes from head to toe holding back the guys' fist.
"What do you want freak!?" The bully grumbled.
"Nice to see you too Damien." She replies wearing a smug look on her face.
"Scram, this is none of your business!" He retorted.
Instead of replying the girl took his fist and twisted it back earning a painful groan from him.
"Looks like someone's not shutting up today." She replied, the two guys chuckling behind her. When she let go of 'Damien' he and his friends ran the opposite direction without looking back.
I turn to the girl and the two guys "Thanks but I didn't really need your help." I said.
"Nah don't worry about it," she waved a her hand in front of me "Damein is just born a jerk."
I nodded and extended my hand out to her "Hi my name is Hana, it's really nice to meet you."
I could see that she was hesitating before finally taking my hand and shaking it saying "Um cool, my name is Alesha and this is Matt and Ryan." She gestured to the two guys behind her who gave me waves and small smiles, I did the same.
"We have another guy with us but, he prefers to hang alone." The guy named Matt said, he had blonde hair that looked like it was dyed.
"Ah I see."
"Well if you see him, say hi but don't stay too close to him," Alesha lowered her voice "he doesn't like being around people that much."
I nodded and opened my mouth to speak but Alesha interrupted me "You'll know him when you see him don't worry." She answered my question, it's like she read my mind.
"We'll see you around." Ryan smiled and the group of emos waved me bye and walked away from me, disappearing down the street.
I turned to the greenery that I long-awaited to go in and now I can finally go explore the inside of the wilderness see if any new adventure pops up and new mysteries for me to solve, this is going to be a great life for me I can tell.
