"Have you decided what you're going as, Tay?" Karlie asked.
"My outfit came in the mail two days ago! I think you're gonna like it."
Taylor wanted to leave the costume as a surprise. Although the girls had been friends for a long time, Taylor saw Karlie differently. She was hoping that this Halloween costume would swoon Karlie over. Not so much in a romantic way, but more so in a sexy, seductive kind of way.
"Stay here. I'll go put it on!" Taylor said enthusiastically, and full to the brim with excitement.
Karlie already had her costume on. Her dress was monotone and sat just above her knees. The sleeves were short and puffy, with black and white stripes. The middle of the dress was a silky black, the ends matching the sleeves: striped. Streaking through the chest was a pink stitch mark. Around her waist was a delicately tied, white ribbon. The bow sat prettily on her back, and nicely finished off the dress. The black fabric was detailed with white spider webs up the sides. And for a cute touch, a pink heart was sewn to the bottom left corner of the dress.
Ivory white gloves, with sleeves as long as Karlie's arms, gave the look of pale skin. Her tights were also white, with black lines, creating the illusion of cracks. At the ends of her legs, Karlie was wearing black, high heeled shoes. They were glossy, and shone under the living room lights.
All that was left to sort out was hair and makeup, along with the last few touches. The girls had agreed earlier, that they'd do each other's makeup, and so it would go on last.
Karlie was dressed as a broken doll. She still had her wig to sort out, and the bow that would go in the fake hair. It was up to Taylor to make Karlie's face look like a chipped porcelain doll. A big responsibility, but one that Taylor was capable of taking on.
As footsteps grew louder, Karlie's attention shifted from her outfit, to Taylor, walking back into the room. Stood before her was a girl dressed in all black, only with the odd hint of purple. Bundled in Taylor's arms were the last few accessories that she'd need to finish off her costume: fake black nails, clip-on lip rings, coloured contacts and three cans of hair spray dye.
Taylor's dress was much longer than Karlie's was. It was lower than the knees. From the waist down, the dress was constructed from a lacy fabric, with black frills. To separate the two parts, was a V shape of tiny purple bows. Up the middle of the dress was purple ribbon that criss-crossed through metal grommets, tying the front together. Taylor's sides looked very slim in the dress, almost as if she was wearing a corset. Covering her neck was the same lacy material that made up the bottom of her dress. It left none of Taylor's neck to show; going right up to her chin. Embedded into the frills was one black gemstone, surrounded by smaller white stones, almost like obsidian and diamonds.
Unlike Karlie, Taylor's arms were bare. Her legs, however, were wrapped in fishnet tights. On Taylor's feet were clunky black boots, made of dull leather; less shiny under the light. The boots were fastened to Taylor's feet with striking silver buckles; each strap, studded with metal spikes. From head to toe, Taylor was a walking fashion statement, even without her makeup.
"So, what do you think?!" Taylor asked. "I was hoping for a Riya Albert look."
"I have absolutely no clue who that is but holy shit Taylor, you look amazing!" Karlie was lost for words, as her eyes trailed up and down Taylor's body.
Her eyes were drawn to Taylor's legs. They were so long and elegant, and underneath the tights, her skin was smooth. Quite frankly, her skin was flawless. As it stood, Taylor was about three inches taller than Karlie, but she hoped this would change in the future. Being short made Karlie feel inferior. She couldn't help but admire Taylor's height, and with the heels on her boots, Taylor looked like a giant.
