five: Suit and Tie

Finn's POV

"So you think that Bayley is getting cold feet?" AJ asks me as we are walking in the tux shop.

"I mean, she avoids any talk about the wedding and if I bring it up, she clamps shut and tells me that I am imagining things." I say as we are looking at various tuxes.

"That's weird, but Bayley loves you and I really doubt it." AJ says and I shake my head.

"I didn't say that she didn't love me, I know she does, it is just the whole wedding thing." I say and sigh, but then narrow my eyes.

"Why aren't you saying anything?" I ask.

"Yeah, normally we have to duct tape your mouth because you talk too much." AJ mutters and she glares at him.

"Especially if it is about Bayley, but if you're not saying anything..."

"Then it means that you know something." Aj finishes my sentence.

"Spill." We say in sync and Alexa rolls her eyes.

She then sighs and absentmindedly take at some suit jacket and start playing with it.

"Whenever I talk about your wedding, she does exactly the same with me: Clamp shut. So, I just asked her very bluntly and straight." She says.

"You aren't the ice queen for nothing." AJ mutters and she hits him with the arm of the jacket.

"I asked her if she wants to get married." She says and I give her a go on look.

"Well?" I ask, since she likes dramatic pauses.

"She said that she obviously wants to marry you and that she loves you." Lex says simply.

"That is like not helpful." AJ basically jumps in.

"But, this is what I think." She says and sits down on a bench and stares at us.

I love this girl like a sister, but sometimes she likes to overdramatize things.

"I think that Bayley isn't ready for the next step. I mean the engagement is fine, but I think the wedding is too soon and Bayley is scared that something bad will happen, so now she clamps shut and tries to avoid talking about anything wedding related. Bayley is not ready for marriage, but I don't think she knows it." Lex concludes.

We are silent for a few moments while all this new information is turning around in my head. If she isn't ready then why didn't se say something.

But Alexa did say that she doesn't even know that she's not ready.

"So what do I do now?" I ask her.

"Do nothing. She just needs time to get used to the idea that she's getting married. I mean, she might not be ready now, but she will be. For now, just go on as usual. I'll try to get her into the right headspace, but your job is to make sure that she knows how much you love her and that this is forever. Bayley may be my best friend, but sometimes, she's very stupid." Lex says and AJ snorts at the last thing.

"Fine, but I really hope that she gets it, because I can't live without her." I say seriously.

Bayley needs to get it together. I need my girl fully on my side.

"Finn!"

I turn around, looking for the source of the voice. I grin when I see who it is and stop to wait for him as he's jogging towards me.

"Hey, Dolph." I say and bro hug him.

"Hi man, how are you?" He asks as we continue walking to our respective hotel rooms.
