To enlighten the mood on what was turning into a pretty depressing conversation, we had each decided to tell each other something that we were good at, or something that we liked about ourselves. To be honest it did make me feel better, seeing everyone saying positive things and smiling. It was nice, it really was. Out of all of the things that had happened today, these moments were the ones that I'd remember the most.

"Actually, I can write with my toes." Michael nodded, laughing to himself. I laughed too at how ridiculously random it was. "I can also, eat, drink..."

"With your feet?" Calum looked horrified. Michael nodded reluctantly. "That's gross.

"That's awesome." Luke said.

"And I can play almost anything on the piano, just by listening to it." Michael then said quietly. Because of his music taste I had presumed Michael would be into electric guitars, or the drums if that. But he wasn't, he was a quiet guy who listened to the heaviest music imaginable, and could also play the piano.

"Wow." I smiled.

"I can write out the first fifty digest of pi." Luke said triumphantly, I was expecting ether Ashton or Calum to shout something like 'NERD ALLERT' but they didn't. They even looked rather impressed.

"Um... I guess that I can wrestle someone to the ground." Calum shrugged, no surprises there. It was nice that Calum had something that he was passionate about.

"What about you, Clair." Ashton's bright eyes fixated on mine and he bit down on his lip, the though of him biting my lip made my head swim.

"What?" I quickly snapped myself out of it, I didn't like thinking of Ashton in that way, he was just a little bit out of my limit.

"What can you do?" He asked me.

I shook my head and looked down into my lap to hide my growing smiled. "I can't do anything."

"Come on Clair, everybody can do something!" Calum jabbed a finger into my shoulder and pushed me to the side, trying to prize and answer out of me.

"Well. There is this one thing that I can do... No, it's way to embarrassing." I giggled like a little girl and pulled my fringe in front of my face to hide my red cheeks.

"Oh my god Clair come on!" Even Michael was intrigued to see what it was that I was so worried to show.

"Okay. But you have to promise that you won't laugh." I let out a sigh and searched through the pockets if my bag for my cherry red lipstick.

"We won't." Calum assured me.

"Okay, I can't believe I'm going this." I said quietly, I waited until the room had retired to a silence and all eyes were on me. I still couldn't believe that I was doing it, it was something that I had learned to do at girls camp when I was twelve. I put the lip stick pen down my cleavage and used that to apply it to my lips with no hands needed, that was it. That was what I learned to do a girls camp.

I lifted my head up and smiled, showing that I had done it, I popped my lips and began laughing to myself. To my surprise they began clapping.

"Wow." Michael smiled.

"See, I told you it was embarrassing." I twisted my lipstick back to a close and pushed it into my pocket. I looked up at Ashton, the look on his face made me feel as if I shouldn't of just done that. He looked disgusted, his face creeping into a smirk.

"Well, Clair. Wasn't that just amazing." He slowly clapped his hands together, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Hey! You said you wouldn't laugh!" Michael pointed out, sticking up for me on my behalf.

"Am I laughing?" Ashton shot back.

"You prick." Calum sneered, I just sat quietly and pulled the sleeves of my jumper over my palms, which was something that I tended to do in embarrassing situations, not that I had been in a situation quite like this one before.

"You're pathetic, Ashton." I said quietly.

"I'm pathetic? What are you going to do? Are you gunna go crying to daddy?" Ashton's voice grew louder, he sounded like he'd had allot to drink, too, or maybe it was just the after effects of the smoking.

"Shut up!" I shouted.

"Go and cry to your daddy Clair, don't cry here." He then said. "Maybe he'll buy you some new shoes. And what about those earrings Clair? Did he buy those for you too the last time that you threw a tantrum? Did you work for the money? No, I bet those were a fucking Christmas gift."

By now I was almost in tears, it was as if he had no idea how bad that he could make a person feel with words. I wanted to know what was happening to the Ashton that I'd met this morning.

"Do you know what I got for Christmas this year? I got a packet of fucking cigarettes!" He spat at me, the others seemed to be done sticking up for me, they stayed so quiet, they made it feel like it was just me and Ashton. "So go cry to your daddy."

"I hate you." I breathed out, getting up and walking over to my desk, where I sat down and held my head into my hands. I was not responsible for the family that I was born into, and nether was he, I understood that, but I didn't understand how someone could be so mean about it.
