Chapter 16- Why?

It was early when I woke. I still can't believe Alec is still with me. He missed so much much work and it's because of me. I felt really bad and I couldn't help but wake him up and tell him that's it's not fair to live with me.

"Alec..." he opens up his eyes and looks at.
"Is there something wrong Maddie?"
"No, it's just that... you can't be living with me forever, let's face it, we never met each other until a bit and you can't risk you career for me. You can go back, I promise if I need anything I will call you if I need anything. But my mom always told me to have feelings for other people and appreciate what they have done for you. You have done more than enough."
"Maddie, I just feel worried once I get back home, it's like feeling telling me not to leave you alone."

"It's not like I am gonna get kidnapped, but to be honest you have helped me in so many ways I don't even know if I will ever return you the favor."

He stands up and comes to hug me, and I remembered how it feels like to have a family. A person that cares for you, everyday I keep reliving a nightmare, expect it's not. He kisses my forehead and goes to the bathroom. I get ready, and remember that we had a really important meeting today in Damon's Enterprise. I have to be fancy then, so I went to my closet and I wore a white formal crop top and formal light rose pants with white heels and low ponytail.

As I enter my office, I see a bunch of papers on it, and says complete by today. Damon isn't usually like this, whatever I told you before rich people change moods like a weather. I take those files and go to his room. I knock,
"May I come in?" I say.
"No, I don't want to see anybody right now." He says with a loud aggressive voice. I was mad, who does he think he is to yell at me like this. Two minutes later I get an email from Damon saying that he wants coffee. Who does he really think he is? Like I am not his maid, I am his secretary. I was pissed off.

Today was already starting off at a bad note and I couldn't handle working with moody people. But while scrolling through old emails and notes stored on the computer. I see something that caught my attention. Mr. Kingston had notes and important information on this computer. I was surprised. I saw important documents that make him go to jail, how could person not hide something like that?

It was papers saying how they buy cars illegally from countries to trade them here, and bank statements with tax frauds and much more. I couldn't believe my eyes.

I swallow hard, and I was so focused on the screen that I didn't even notice Damon standing right in front of me.

"I thought I told you to get coffee?" He says with an irritated voice.
I quickly X out the doc and focus on him.
"Look, I don't care if you fire me, but I don't like working as a maid for people get it? I have had enough in my life, I don't need to live anymore..."I slowly started breaking down, streams of tears rolling down my eyes. He looked at me, and quickly came to me and hugged me. It was the first time he have done that. I cry into his expensive shirt.

He grabs tissues for me, and tells me that everything is alright. That was the first time I actually saw a kind Damon. He is always strong, formal, and he looks too strong for a poor thing like me to make him hug me and actually change moods to sad. He had sad twinkling eyes. I could tell he has been mad. But I quickly regain my strength.

Days past, I go to school as usual and work and Damon have been nice to me so far. But, I don't know why I felt like something was going to happen. Something suddenly that is going to make me break and this time fall and not get back up.
